King was munching on the sandwich he bought from the coffee shop next to his plant's shop. In the afternoon, his clients calmed down and he had time to finish his lunch without much pressure. He went to the backroom where most of his newbie plants were slowly growing up and getting ready to be sold. Most of the time, flowering plants where the ones most requested. King understood that they looked beautiful because of their many colours, but he always suggested a green plant as most of the time, flowers only bloomed during spring and that would make a person disappointed and possibly give up on the plant. King finished tending to some of the plants that needed his attention and went back to the front of the store. Sometimes he wondered whether he should hire an assistant. It would make it much more helpful for him in case he needed to go to the backroom or even get a proper break. However, hiring an assistant would mean having to pay someone and even though his shop was doing well one cannot be too careful, especially at the beginning.

Since he noticed that his shop was still quiet, he took out his phone. The first notification he noticed was from the application, which the tattooed male was talking to him on, and King quickly went on the notification. He was excited and happy when he saw the reply even though it did not say much.

'I don't usually wake up that early. It just happened.'

King read the message again and realized that maybe it was a bit short, so he thought of something else to say.

'But that's okay. I needed to come to check on my babies.'

He wondered if that was any better but he had to drop his phone because he saw the door open and a frequent customer coming in. It was Thara. A doctor from the University's hospital. King met him when they were both still students and King needed stitches on his head. King also knew that Thara was a relative of Duen, Bohn's boyfriend. He knew that the doctor liked to give flowers to his patients and that is how Thara ended up in King's shop.

"Good afternoon P'Thara," King said smiling at him.
"Good afternoon King. I'm here for my order."

Thara was a very calm and patient person who cared a lot about the environment. The two of them became quick friends when King saw Thara picking up trash. The two of them were big fans of nature and their conversations usually resulted on that topic.

"Of course, I will go pick it from the back." King went to the back room again where he picked up a bundle wrapped up in newspapers. It was P'Thara's weekly order of flowers and King would usually have it ready and prepared from the morning. "Here it is," King said, handing the doctor his flowers.
"Thank you very much, King," Thara said and he pulled out his wallet to pay. "I would love to stay and chat but my shift starts in 30 minutes."
"It's okay Phi. We can meet up next time we go for drinks."
"I will definitely come." Even though Thara was busy with work at the hospital, he still had free time because his only other engagement was taking care of his pet lizard whom he was very attached to. Many people asked him why such a handsome, smart and kind doctor like himself was single and Thara simply replied that he was looking for the right person.

The two waved goodbye and Thara left the shop. Yet, King could not go back to his phone because more customers came in.

Ram waved his students goodbye and went back to his classroom to pick up his things. "We're going for drinks tonight," Ting said as soon as she saw her colleague. Ram's eyes widened because he was not expecting that. "Thank you but I can't come."
Ting frowned at him, "no excuses tonight. Duen is coming along with his boyfriend and his boyfriend's friends. We need to find you a date."
"I told you I have no interest in getting into a relationship," he said. Ram knew that was a lie but he would rather do it that way than show his very disappointing side of himself where he wants a lover but he cannot get one. "Besides, I have dinner at my mother today and she will twist my ear if I don't go."
Ting could not argue with that. She knew Ram rarely went home but she did not know why.
