Shuhei and Kyoya landed, stopping when their captain did. The trio arrived at the third district, Hokutan.
Hajime led the way, weaving through the dirt roads and past houses. He stopped at a group of children surrounding a young man.
"You guys are EXTREMELY rambunctious," the male's voice shouted over the children's squeals.
Hajime slowly approached the group with his seated officers trailing behind him. Kyoya was huffing. Of all the people it had to be, why was it the loud one?
The group of children parted when they spotted the soul reapers, silence slowly settling over the group of souls. The children peeked at the shinigami, anxious and curious. Why were such high-ranking shinigami here?
The young soul looked up from the children he was entertaining. He wore a striking smile on his face, white bandages over his nose and wrapped around his hands. His snow-white, spiky hair was a stark contrast to the dark yukata he wore. Hajime only ever saw this natural color with Toshiro and the elderly. "Hey! Kyoya, you're EXTREMELY here!"
Hajime and Shuhei turned to the third seat, both understanding the gist of the situation.
"Considering I died, it would make sense that I'm here," Kyoya stated, observing his friend from his last life.
"Who are these people and where are the others?" The man's entire demeanor changed, his playful side quickly switching to the face of a seasoned Guardian.
"You're the first to arrive, besides myself," Kyoya informed the man. He turned to look at his comrades, "These are my superiors," he motioned to Hajime, "Captain Saito Hajime," Kyoya motioned to the other one, "and Lieutenant Hisagi Shuhei."
"My name is Sasagawa Ryohei. It's EXTREMELY nice to meet you," Sasagawa introduced, bowing his head.
Hajime quirked his eyebrow at the gesture before nodding his own head in greeting. "I assume you know Kyoya from your when you were alive," Hajime said, glancing between the two.
"You're EXTREMELY correct!" Sasagawa exclaimed, glancing at his friend. "We were..," he trailed off, wondering how to explain it.
"Family," Kyoya finished.
Hajime nodded then turned around, motioning for the man to follow the trio.
Sasagawa glanced at Kyoya. Once he received a nod, he followed Hajime, trusting his friends judgment. Trailing behind Hajime, next to Kyoya and Shuhei, he walked with the group.
"Do you have any personal belongings you would like to bring?" Hajime asked, not looking back.
Sasagawa's face flashed a thoughtful and questioning look, "No, why?"
"Because you will be attending Shin'o Academy with my recommendation," Hajime stated.
Kyoya and Shuhei weren't surprised with Hajime's decision; however, Sasagawa was, considering he just met the shinigami.
"What?"
Hajime swiveled around and stopped in front of the three. "Your reiryoku," he points a finger at Sasagawa's chest, "is very strong. The reiatsu it's giving off is stifling to the souls that surround you." Hajime tapped Sasagawa's chest with his finger. He understood the problem this man, and many others to come, will and are facing. "Eventually, prolonged exposure to your reiatsu could severely harm or kill weaker souls."
Sasagawa froze at the Captain's last words. He doesn't want to kill anyone. Heck, he never enjoyed killing when he was alive, but it was part of the job. Tsuna always made sure to spare any life they could. Sasagawa himself has killed less than the amount he can count on his fingers. A majority of the Guardians can, considering Tsuna and Reborn willingly bear the weight of those killed. Well, Reborn honestly doesn't care. Sasagawa looked up and stared into the Captain's eyes, "So going to this academy will help me control whatever you just said?"
Hajime back away and nodded, "Control, master, and use in battle."
"Okay, I'm in," Sasagawa quickly agreed.
Hajime showed a small smirk before turning around, "Good, because you would have come either way."
"Wha-" Sasagawa breathed, surprised and confused at the Captain's comment. He's dealt with this behavior with a few people in the past, one being a spartan tutor.
Shuhei gave an amused huff while Kyoya just stared ahead. They were both used to their captain's attitude.
Hajime glanced back at the three before motioning to his two seated officers, "Bring him." Hajime only gave the trio one small warning before he shunpo'd away, knowing Kyoya and Shuhei will follow him.
Hajime headed towards the academy. With it being inside the walls of the Seireitei, Hajime knew he'd have to have the nearest gate opened or jump over the wall again, he hasn't decided yet.
Hajime, Shuhei, Kyoya, and Sasagawa stood in front of the opened gates of Shin'o Academy. Hajime waltzed on in, each step held with confidence and superiority he unconsciously released. His companions were no different, with two of them remembering their skills from their past life, and two of the shinigami being high-ranked seated officers, the whole group had a natural air around them.
The trainees in the courtyard whispered as they passed, watching the Captain of Squad 9, his lieutenant and third seat, and a unknown soul.
Hajime continues to walk, leading the group to the main building and to the Principal's office, from what he remembered. Walking through the halls, the students that crowded the way naturally cleared a space for them. Hajime finally stopped at a set of sliding doors. Knocking on them before sliding them open, not waiting for their reply.
Shuhei sweatdropped from behind his captain but followed after him when he entered the room, beckoning Kyoya and Sasagawa in and shutting the door behind him.
Once the group was settled, Hajime motioned with his head towards Sasagawa, "He'll be attending the school."
The Principal gawked at Hajime, "Captain Saito, with all due respect."
Hajime glared at the old man, "Under my recommendation. Unless you would like me to get Captain Yamamoto, Captain Kyoraku, and Captain Ukitake?" He threatened.
"Y-yes, of course Captain Saito," the Principal stuttered. He started pulling papers from his desk, getting them ready before handing them over to Hajime to sign. "Please sign these."
Hajime signed the papers, his wrist going through the familiar movements, before handing the paperwork back to the Chairman.
"I'll have him settled in today and he'll start tomorrow," the Principal said, tucking the paper away in his desk.
Hajime nodded and stood up, Shuhei and Kyoya following after him. Sasagawa glanced between the Principal and the trio. "Answer all the questions Sasagawa has," Hajime ordered the Principal, motioning with his head towards Sasagawa.
"Of course! Goodbye, Captain Saito," the Principal stood up and bowed to the trio then turned his attention to the silverette in his office.
Hajim nodded then left the office, satisfied with his work.
