A FLURRY OF NEWBORNS race through the woods, snarling and falling over each other, rapidly gaining on the smell of the false trail of Bella's fresh blood. Complete frenzy and thirst filled their eyes, taking over the human emotion that once controlled them.

In the distance, the Cullen's stood alert. Knowing what was coming towards them. Man made killing machines. They were ready.

Elsewhere, Bella stood with Edward. Praying her family would make it out alive.

The newborns rabid senses brought them into the middle of a clearing, they stopped, confused as the scent stopped suddenly. Looking around like wild animals, they quickly surveyed the area. Without hesitation, something bolted from behind a rock and smashed into a newborn, ripping its head clean off. The body fell with a dull thud. The battle started.

Snarling and shrieking could be heard from miles away as the wolves tore into the newborns, catching them off guard. The Cullen's leaped into action. Emmett using his strength as an advantage, smashing into the young vampires, tearing torsos apart and popping heads off. Jasper, the military man he was, shouting orders at the wolves and working with them to kill newborns. Carlisle and Esme teaming up and looking out for each other.

Soon, crunching and grunts could be the only noises heard. From afar it was very clear that the newborns were losing, badly. Mashed up heads, limbs and strewn body parts laid across the grass and what once was a battle ground lay a brutal massacre.

Victoria stood in the treeline, playing straight into Alice's blind spot in her powers. Eyes darting about the scene, looking for the one she wishes to get revenge against. Her blood filled the arena. A trap. She wasn't here. Neither was Edward. Soon enough, two and two were put together and the fiery redhead tore into the trees searching for Edwards scent. She was a pro at tracking, learned from the best.

Jacob had now rushed onto the battlefield, instantly taking out a newborn, taking her between his teeth and tearing her apart. Far away, on top of the mountain, Bella and Edward stood anxiously. Edward listening to Seth's thoughts, keeping track of what was going on. Despite them winning he was still uneasy, wondering when Victoria would arrive to the battle.

Scarlett was also wondering the same thing sat on the uneven rocks above the battle, making sure she was unseen. She watched Jasper like a hawk, ready to jump in but satisfied he could handle his own.

Unbeknownst to her, Victoria had been watching her pace angrily through the woods last night and Scarlett was exactly where Victoria wanted her to be.

On top of the mountain, Edward froze. He could hear Victoria's thoughts, she was close. Pulling Bella behind him, he sent Seth away to help the others. This was a battle he had to fight himself.

Following Victoria's last minute instructions, Riley stood in the middle of the arena, surrounded by dead newborns. Scanning the treeline, he spotted Scarlett on the rocks, who was too involved in watching Jasper to notice him slip into the treeline and come after her...
