It all comes back to that day. The day she died. She can remember every detail, the fear that entered her when she felt him pull her hair, the heat of his hands around her neck. After he broke it, she woke up groggy thinking it was all a dream. They didn't really know who they were attacking, breaking her neck did kill her but not for good. They didn't do their research. It takes much more than that to kill her. The only reason they were able to kill everyone else was because of the fire. A lot happened that day but all she can think about is the fire, the way it was engulfing everything, the screams from the people inside the castle. How can fire betray them this way?

It has been five years since that day, the day of her coronation, their birthday. She was supposed to be inside getting ready, instead she was out in the garden. If she had just been there maybe she could've stopped it, stop everyone from dying. Her twin sister is dead and with her, a part of herself. Melody's green eyes would always keep her calm whenever she would look at them. Her black hair, so unlike her own, made her look like snow white and her smile would always brighten her day. She always treated Melody like the younger sister even though they were twins. And now that she's gone, she feels empty, like the wound that was left after she died would never heal.

Today was the anniversary of their deaths, her birthday. It was funny to her that instead of celebrating her birthday she was commemorating her family's death. After that day she fled to Earth hiding from the people who did this to her, she decided to give up on the magical universe, to leave everything behind. But every year on this day she couldn't, she wanted to go back. She wanted them back.

In her heart she knew some of them were still alive, that they could find each other. But the pain of the loss stopped her from looking for them, all she could do was hope they were alive and safe.

Mia's life on Earth was like any other humans, she had left magic behind, she only used it to cloak herself so no one with magic could track her. She settled down on a little town outside of England named Lynton. She moved into a house close to the beach, the only thing connecting her to her powers, the water. Ever since she was little she loved the water, it made her feel safe and in control. Even though it can be unpredictable, the power to control water was one of her favorite.

She worked in a small bakery in town, most people didn't recognize her since she worked at night. She would go in after closing and bake the next day's bread and pastries. She had always believe in the system between good and evil, she always believed that taking a life was wrong. Mia not only believed in the rules but she enforced them, her powers never truly gave her a choice since they were based on the light and the good of the universe; on life. They allowed her to access the mind in every way, teleport, manipulate water amongst other things. She was always meant to keep the balance between good and evil. But after five years she realized that her beliefs meant nothing, after loosing everything she also gave up on protecting life. To survive in her new reality she had to give up everything she stood for. That's why during the day she would train she prepared herself for anything. Even with her cloaking spell from time to time people would find and attack her. Giving up her life didn't mean they had given up on killing her.

They took everything away from her, and all for a very petty reason. She still doesn't understand it. The only reason they started the revolution was for power. Why does everything always revolve around it? They said that she should renounce the crown and give up the monarchy, but she refused. They did all this because she wouldn't renounce her birthright, if she had, maybe they'd still be alive.
