Can She Save Them?

"Mia you know you're not, alone right? You don't have to decide this by yourself, I'm here. I've always been here, I can help you" Melody's voice, she could hear her so clearly, it was just like Melody to always be there for her. But this time she was wrong, she was alone, and she couldn't bring herself to take a step, one step closer to Sofia and it would be over. If she took that one step the decision would be made and there would be no turning back, but she couldn't take it. She could see how Sofia approached them, how close she was getting to killing them, how Dylan's barrier was failing but she couldn't bring herself to take that one step.

"I'm right behind you..."

      As Mia turned around, she saw what at first was a blurry reflection of herself, but in reality, it was someone she never thought she would see again... her black hair, green eyes and pale skin the only thing that differentiated them. Melody was standing right in front of her with her warm smile and kind eyes, filled with tears in her eyes all Mia could do was stare at what might be an illusion of her sister.

"I'm real, I'm not an illusion made by you, I'm actually here."

"It can't be real, you're dead, your powers are inside of me if you were alive this wouldn't have happened. This is just a desperate attempt of my brain to make sense of what I'm supposed to do. You can't be real..." Panic started to fill every part of her body, she started to lose control again, she felt like every part of her brain was going to explode.

        Before she lost complete control, she felt a warm hand on her shoulder, she opened her eyes and suddenly she was in Melody's arms and the pain had disappeared. Melody was real, at least for her.

"Mia... Mia, I'm here and I'll be here until you don't need me anymore. I'm real, remember when you saw Rose? When you went through Sofia's memories, it's the same, I'm tied to my powers.... I'm tied to you."

        That's when Mia understood, Melody's powers where with her and so was Melody. She had been there all along, giving her strength every step of the way.

"Mia you know that if you do this, you're not only going to lose her but yourself." Melody's eyes were filled with tears there was no way that they would survive this. Mia knew that Sofia needed to be stopped but didn't know what would happen after that.

"Melody, will they survive?" Mia's eyes reached Noah and Dylan; they were barely holding on.

         She smiled looking at Mia and said, "you know there's a way to save them all; right? The only thing keeping the universe together is both you and Sofia, if one of you dies their powers will go to the only one left. Ultimately causing the destruction of both the universe and the last one standing. Mia stopping her won't be enough, you need to stop this from ever happening."

Mia's eyes widened she never thought that it was an option, "that's too dangerous, I don't think I would survive the trip."

"But a letter will..." said Melody with a small grin.

"A letter? OMG a letter! I could warn myself, right? Stop both you and Rose from dying." Mia was suddenly filled with hope, she could just send the letter and not have to confront Sofia just stop her from ever losing control, stop her from burning the castle.

"Mia no, that's not going to work..." Melody looked at her with pain, "Mia for you to be able to send the letter and save everyone you have to stop her first."

       Mia couldn't understand, the letter would solve everything why did she have to stop Sofia? Everything would change in the end. But Melody's pleading eyes told her everything she needed to know.

"Mia, we don't know for sure if the letter will reach you on time, if you'll be able to stop Elliot on time. In the end we need to make sure Noah and Dylan survive, if they survive then maybe there's hope for the magical community, they can save it. When you absorb Rose and Sofia's powers cast the ultimate spell and magic will survive even though it lost us."
