Losing control was like nothing Mia had ever experienced. At first it made her feel warm and taken care of, like she was being embraced by a warm blanket. Every part of her body was letting itself go, letting the energy take over. Then the pain started. She could feel every bone in her body breaking. She could feel her blood boil and turn ice cold at the same time. After it overtook her completely, she could only feel pain. She had never let go before, but she had done her research and it wasn't supposed to be like that. She was supposed to feel warm and safe. But she didn't. She felt betrayed by her powers. She had always been one and the same with them but at the compound she felt like they had abandoned her and were just using her as a means to an end. Which for her sounded insane, Mia had heard about powers not harmonizing with the host which lead towards the host destruction, but it had never happened to her. Thinking back to the moment, everything in her felt wrong. She could remember that it wasn't her powers betraying her but something else, something had not only used her but had also managed to use her powers, too.

As Mia woke up, she could almost distinguish her surroundings, the frozen walls surrounding her, the floor cold and wet, she could smell, iron, blood. It was all around her, but it wasn't hers. She could feel her body shutting down, but she couldn't lose consciousness again, using the energy she had left she managed to get up and lean up against the wall. That's when she saw it, half of the compound was ice and the other was ash. She had destroyed everything. There was nothing left, panic started to overtake her, what had she done, all her family relics were stored here and now they were gone; everything was gone. She could feel the keys still in her hands, she had managed to get what she had come for, now all she needed to do was open the portal, if she did they would know she was alive and had the keys but it was the only way to find Sofia. If she used the correct key, Sofia would also sense it and come looking for her. Without her the kingdom would be left in the hands of the people who murdered her family. Mia couldn't do it alone.

She teleported to her house mind still raising. She went for the key to Hell, Sofia's domain. She went to the wall and as she pressed it against it and turned. She felt Hell's fire coming forward, and then the door appeared, the voices with it. Every single soul in Hell knew the door had materialized and were getting ready to welcome their next victim. As Mia went for the nob, she knew she was in no state to open it, her powers couldn't protect her. She would be alone walking through hells corridors. But she knew it was the only way to find Sofia. When she turned the nob and opened the door she saw three shadows, two of them were standing over the third which was on the floor. Using the door to stay upright she took a step forward and managed to catch a glimpse of one of the shadows, it was Rose, all she could do was stare.

"Sofia doesn't have much time, here." Rose picked Sofia up with the help of the second shadow and brought her in front of the door. When the second shadow came into focus Mia couldn't believe her eyes.

"Mia you must have a lot of questions but ask Sofia ok, you need to close the door before they find you. Neither of you are in any state to fight." Mia nodded unable to say anything. After pulling Sofia out she closed the door, her body ached all over but she managed to teleport them to the safe house before she collapsed.
