Warnings: Reader is attacked, shooting

You'd worked in Tommy's bar for a few years now. The pay was good and despite who you worked for you hadn't run into any issues. Tommy was quite friendly and it had occurred to you now and then. That might be why you'd never had any trouble.

Today you were closed but still had to come in. The bartender had asked you to serve the Shelby family personally as they'd still be using the bar. The door burst open and you jumped, looking up to see Tommy storm in.

He took a seat at one of the tables and seemed confused when he saw you at the bar. "I thought I said to close up today."

"I was asked to come in to make sure you have everything you need." You explained.

"You being paid extra?"

"No, less actually. But every little counts when you're saving." You said nervously.

"I want you to take this and go out the back way, stay home and I'll have Finn fetch you when you're needed at work next." Tommy said quickly as he handed you a roll of notes and pointed you to the back door. You hesitated for a moment. Tommy watched you with amusement as he lit a cigarette and leaned on the table, glancing at the door every now and then. You'd never seen so much money in one place. Slowly and tentatively taking the money. Tucking it into your purse that was in the special hidden shelf the bar you headed to the back of the bar but before you could get through the door it slammed open.

You let out a scared squeal and felt someone grab at you. It happened so fast you didn't realise they'd stormed through towards Tommy. There was a loud bang that made you jump and you managed to squirm free. There was a lot of shouting and thumping and your heart was racing. Not knowing what to do you start to crawl away until someone grabbed your leg.

You kicked out and felt something hard and cold against your hand. Hoping it would scare them off you swung the gun in their face and shouted. "Stay back!" You warned. The man laughed and you squeezed the trigger, staring at the man who was no longer moving.

"(Y/N)?" Tommy called after a while. His panicked expression faded to one of pity when he saw your wide eyed stare. "Come on now. Don't look."

He helped you get to your feet and led you away from the bar to his back room. He hugged you as you started to shake and cry.

"Tommy?" Arthur called as he burst in. He saw the state you were in but didn't say anything as Tommy shook his head. "I'll deal with this."

"Get me a car and I'll take (Y/N) home. She shouldn't have been working." Tommy muttered over your shoulder. He sighed when he tried to step back and felt your fingers squeeze at his waist coat. "It's alright (Y/N) we'll get you home and sorted hey. You'll be alright."
