The time of our lives

ah ik i promised this awhile ago- but i lied, and i'm tired, and yea :)

"FINN!" Jessica yells, shielding her eyes from Finn in only his underwear now.

"What? Cmon you guys are no fuuuun.." Finn says sarcastically, jumping into the lake, "come on in! The waters fine!"

"Fuck it," Liam laughs, taking off his shirt

Jessica and I lock eyes. Fuck this is going to happen, isn't it?

One by one, we all strip down to our underwear, and jump into the lake.

"Shit it's cold," whines Jack, trying to keep his head above water.

"Cmon the waters fiiine!" Finn yells, laughing.

The water is cold, but the warm weather makes up for it. We all swim and mess around in the sun for a few hours, before Liam declares a chick fight.

"Okay, who's with who?" Jack asks, looking around at everyone.

"I'll be with y/n..!" Finn says, grabbing my arm. Huh. I look over at Jaeden, and we lock eyes for half a second- although it feels like a second too long.

"Yeah I mean sure," I say, smiling at Finn.

"I wanna be with Jessica then!" Liam says, "nobody else is gonna be able to handle her."

"Rude..!" Jessica laughs, "but he's right." She smiles at Liam, and I giggle a little bit. It's really only a matter of time before they get together honestly.

"I guess it's me and you," Jack says, climbing into Jaeden's shoulders, "it's war time babey!"

Jessica and Liam ended up beating us all, but being on Finns shoulders, above the world, was an experience I'll never forget.

"Hey, so, I'm hungry," exclaims Jack, running your grab the picnic stuff from our bikes, "

We all sit in a sunny spot in the grass and just exist in this moment, the sun peaking through the trees, and a warm breeze floating through the clearing.

"Guys..!" Jessica exclaims sitting up suddenly, "we should play a game.."

"Uh..dude not gonna lie..I don't trust you. Like at all," Liam says, a little nervously.

"Ugh..you're not fuuuunnn.." Jessica whines, "cmon guys..Jack! Finn! You guys aren't wimps..!"

"Yeah..! I'm not a wimp..!" Jack shouts, as he tries to stand up, but trips over his own feet.

"Yeah whatever you say Jack.." Jessica laughs.

"We should play truth or dare!" Jaeden says, smiling. At me? No. He's just smiling. I look over my shoulder and Finn is looking directly at me. Like, eye contact kind of looking at me.

"Um yeah, truth or dare sounds fun," I smile, breaking off the eye contact and choosing to look at the grass. We all get up and move over by the river, sitting on rocks and skipping stones.

"I'll start!" Jessica grins, "Jack, truth or dare?"

"Uh dare. Duh. I'm cool so of course dare," Jack stutters. I'm pretty sure everyone's secretly a little scared of Jessica's intentions. She smirks and thinks to herself for a minute.

"When we get back home, you're gonna paint my nails. Because I suck at it," she says smiling.

"Okay. I mean I was expecting a lot worse,"'Jack says readjusting his hands on his knee. I see Liam picking flowers in the field behind us, and realize he wasn't playing. Weird.

"Finn. Truth or dare," Jack says, and I swear he looks at me real quick too. What's up with all the guys?

"Dare. Of course," Finn rolls his eyes. Okay maybe I should be the one out picking flowers. Jack keeps looking at me weird.

"I think you should kiss y/n," Jack says. Jaeden's jaw clenches. I may or may not be blushing.
