hi i love you guys, sorry for being gone for awhile again, but thanks to the people who comment bc it reminds me :)

...

"Wait you want me to come with..?" I ask, even though he said it, it's hard to believe he does. But the way he's standing there, waiting for me to catch up with him, says otherwise.

"Yeah dummy, cmon we have a few hours."

I smile (probably too much) and jog to catch up with him.

It's the perfect morning. I swear every day here gets nicer as the wind tickles as it blows through my hair, and how the sun glows a gorgeous orange.

"So it's crazy how soon we'll be back home," he starts, and I wish he didn't even bring it up because now I have to think about home, and home isn't quite home without Jessica and Liam.

"Yeah I mean honestly it kind of feels like I live here now," I reply, kicking a rock while walking.

"I wish we could stay here forever.." he mumbles, brushing the hair out of his eyes.

We?

"Me too."

A few beats of silence tells me that there's a lot more to this then I really know.

"Okay y/n, we can't waste this beautiful morning being upset, we've only got one life and I want today to be something to remember," he said passionately, grabbing both my arms and stopping us in place, "like I don't want to wait to have fun and be safe anymore. I'm sick of being too scared to do the things I want to do."

"Dude like what?" I ask, smiling, because how could I not? I've never seen him this excited.

"I want to learn how to skateboard, how to surf, I wanna try new food, scream off of a hill, I wanna dye my hair just to do it, spend time with people and make real memories, and god I want to do it before I can't anymore."

And with that last sentence his enthusiasm drops with his hands and he looks off into the distance, lost in thought.

"We're still young, we have time," I say, trying to comfort him.

"No. I don't have time. My prime as an actor is right now while I'm young. If I don't get it right now, I have no idea what my career will look like once I'm older," he sighs and looks at the ground, "but god y/n I'm so tired of not being a kid."

I don't really know what to do, he's so vulnerable and upset and Im scared that if I try and give him advice, I'll make it worse. Instead, I cautiously approach him, and tentatively wrap my arms around him and hug him until he decides he wants to let go. I'm shorter then him, but not by a lot. I can feel his forehead resting on my shoulder as he wraps his arms around me as well. He smells like sweat, bar soap, and sunshine, and I wish I could stay here forever. After about two minutes we awkwardly pull away from one another and stand there staring at anything that isn't each other.

"We have a little while longer, Jaeden," I say, finally meeting his eyes, "Let's make some memories."

We walk all the way to the farmers market telling stories about our hometowns and schools.

"Hey we're here!" I exclaim, looking at all the tables and tents full of delicious food and handmade clothes. Jaeden smiles at me, and we start walking towards a table full of fresh fruit, picking out strawberries, raspberries, and mangos. I realize just now that Jaeden brought white reusable bags to carry everything home in. We pass a table full of pastries and I grab a few muffins for Liam, knowing that he'd be much more motivated to help clean if food was an incentive. I pick up some essential oils for Jessica, while Jaeden gets some honey sticks for Finn.

"Do you think that's everything?" I ask, lifting a few bags into my arms to carry them home

"Do you think that's everything?" I ask, lifting a few bags into my arms to carry them home.

"Yeah, I think so," Jaeden says smiling, "want me to carry those for you?"

"Nah it's all good."

"Then let's go make some breakfast."
