bitch i am tired. the only thing i've been doing is watching outerbanks. but hey, better late then never? enjoy this piece of trash that i'm writing way to early in the morning :)

I looked at Finn and laughed. No way in hell was he actually going to kiss me...right?

"Dude but like..no homo or anything..but I think we should give the people what they want," Finn smirked.

"Bruh nobody really cares though..?" I say, looking at everyone doing literally anything but paying attention. These people have the collective attention span of a hyper 10 year old boy.

"Eh I mean.." Finn mumbles, realizing that again, everyone's given up on the game. Dude it's so beautiful outside. I get up, look at the stupid boy sitting across from me, and bend down and give him a quick kiss on the cheek before I walk over to everyone else. Jaeden's eyes narrow a bit, but maybe I was just overthinking.

"Guys, I have an awesome idea," Jessica says, quickly standing up.

"What is it...?" I ask, because as weird as this day has been, I don't think I'm ready to stop being around everyone.

"I'm pretty sure there's an aquarium somewhere near here? We could totally ride our bikes there and see everything. I'm dying to see a manatee in real life.."

There is an aquarium here, and it's really only a few miles from where we are now. Our bikes are resting against a soft grass a little up the path we came from, and we all hike up to them, carrying the basket and flowers from the meadow. Liam and Jessica keep looking at each other while we're walking and making small talk, and I smile at them too. They've loved each other for at least two years. It's only a matter of time before they both realize it. Speaking of crushes...Jaeden's eyes shine like coins that you make secret wishes on, then throw into the fountains of malls. The way he talked to me that night keeps playing back in my head..

"Dude cmon," Jessica calls. I look up and everyone's already on their bikes.

"Oh shit sorry," I laugh, looking down because apparently anything can make me blush. I climb into my pastel yellow bike, and push off.

The sun is so bright, it would hurt if I wasn't so out of my mind happy. Like..bathing in serotonin kinda happy.

We ride for a few minutes, listening to Jack's "summer vibes" playlist (spoiler alert: it's just 80s songs and tongue tied), until we get to the aquarium.

We walk to the front desk, and get all-day passes to the whole aquarium (which was cool because that includes looking at the sting rays that you can pet, and the manatees).

"Guys. If we don't go see the jelly fish I will cry right here- right now," Jack pouts, pulling all of us in one direction. I giggle, and look at the map to see which direction we should start walking in.

We spent all day going from exhibit to exhibit, all of us being much too loud, and a little too dramatic. Liam did impressions of all the fish, and Jessica refused to touch the stingrays. Jaeden's eyes seemed more gray in the light of all the tanks, and I wish I could say that I didn't want to tell him about how he looks like he holds the whole sky in those eyes.

"Hey it's getting kinda late. Y/n, cmon, it's time to head back," Finn says, and smiles at me. We all hop on our bikes, and bike home. Well, not exactly home, but it sure does feel like it lately.

The sky is navy, freckled with spots of white, and although it's at least 11, the air is warm and comforting.

"Hey so..today was awesome you guys," Jaeden grins. At me? No. At everyone..?

"Can we all sleep over at your place Y/n?" asks Jack, "I kinda just wanna raid your fridge..."

"Yeah for sure!" I say, unlocking the door to the apartment, and walking inside.

Jack and Liam eat ice cream at the counter, and Jessica and Finn argue over which AHS season is the best, even though it's obviously Cult. I step outside onto the balcony, and slide the glass door shut. God the sky really is beautiful..I can't believe that after this, I'll be off in college. I wish I could just make things last a little longer..

Then, just like that, a noise interrupts my thoughts.

The noise of the glass door, sliding open again.

And then, the noise of someone asking,

"You need some company?"

AN: so funny story- my wattpad is linked to my school chrome book and so the only reason i even remember ab this book is bc of a few ppl who kept asking for updates. either way, chapters are coming :)
