"Maximeee," a hideous voice drawled near my ear and I shuffled under the soft comforters.
I groaned when a solid yet tiny thing poked my cheek and then my forehead, followed by my other cheek. My annoyed arms flailed about the air instantly, victoriously hitting something. But then someone bellowed and a switch clicked inside me, making me sit up hastily. My eyes jolted open and were greeted by a frowning Jordyn and an amused Beck stifling a laugh. It seemed they were busy in their own camaraderie because they snapped back to reality and solemn faces when they saw me glaring daggers at them.
"FYI, it was his idea," Jordyn said and pointed at Beck.
Beck shook his head and got anxious as he searched for someone or something to blame. That was the very second the bathroom door clicked open and strolling out came Link Matthews. My eyes widened in horror as my anger turned into wrath.
What the hell was happening?!
"You were here too?!"
"Him!" Beck exclaimed, pointing at the newcomer. "His idea. All of it."
Link appeared the least bothered as he casually flopped on the very far end of the bed. "I see, you still have those odd Godzilla shorts," he smirked.
My cheeks burned red in both frustration and embarrassment at his comment. Beck and Jordyn snorted discreetly, but one glower in their direction shut them up pretty well.
"What the hell are you three doing in my room??" I yelled incredulously. "And how did you come in?!" My head was spinning like crazy now. I was beyond shocked to have encountered those three invasive lunatics first thing in the morning.
"I had asked the reception for an extra key yesterday when I came in to wake your lazy ass up," Beck explained.
"And they gave it to you just like that?!" I screeched, horrified. Oh my god, the staff of this resort was so fervently questionable! How could they simply hand over someone's room key to just about anyone?
"Well, you know my charms can resist nobody," Beck said smugly and raked a hand through his messy bed hair.
"I could have been naked, for god's sake!" I cried.
"Now, that would have been a sight to see," Jordyn whistled. Link threw a pillow at his face as Beck elbowed him, both successfully earning an oomf from their victim.
"What the hell do y'all want from me?" I gritted.
All three of them went completely silent. I could hear the birds chirping outside, the mellow sound of the waves crashing and the tall banyan trees rustling with the wind under the dark blue skies.
Damn, was it an impeccable weather.
"Well?!" I pressed again, but still no one answered. My firm glance fell over Link, asking for some much needed answers. However, that too went flop.
