We arrived back to the resort around eleven.

The day had just begun, people were now starting to crowd the beach, putting on lotions and settling in for another tan. There were some who wore hats bigger than their heads and clicked photos, their fingers apart, holding out the peace sign. The site was all chill yet vividly obvious.

The ride back wasn't as fun as the journey to. My eyes had been heavy the whole time and my head must have banged on Jordyn's shoulder at least thrice. He didn't complain, though. He had been snoring himself, after all.

After resistantly getting out of the car, all of us made our way toward the open lounge area where the wedding squad usually gathered around this time after brimming their stomachs with delectable hotel breakfast buffet. The wind had picked up speed as it whooshed past us every once in a while. I shivered with it, my clothes still wet due to the random cliff-jump-splash decision. It was stupid, I know. But the adrenaline rush it brought was something my body ached for since as long as I could imagine.

I jumped when a warm weight put down on my shoulder. I twisted my head to see Beck place his thick, dry jacket on me.

"You looked like you would shrink." He shrugged and fell in step with me.

I pulled the warm fabric closer, my skin escaping a twinging prickle the cold provided. I rolled my eyes, nonetheless, a small smile appeared on my face.

"I'd say thanks," I started, "but your attitude irks me." I shook my head.

"Ah, then I'll just shamelessly ask for this back." He extended his arms and tried to wrest his jacket from me but I moved away in time, hugging the cloth close to my skin.

My mouth automatically tugged downward in a scowl while he smirked smugly.

"Prick."

"Still wearing my jacket!" he shouted from behind me. I paced and left him chortling alone.

We didn't even manage to enter the lounge, when out of nowhere Sera appeared before us, her eyebrows in a twist and lips in a single, firm line.

"You losers," she greeted. "I am paying for your stay here, you get that, right?"

Her face portrayed anger and betrayal, as if we had done an exceedingly controversial crime and didn't include her intentionally. Yeah, that was how retarded most of our mentalities were, in spite of being inch apart with our 30s.

"I called you," Link stated monotonously. "You cussed me out, saying I was idiotic to be up this early."

Sera looked away for a split second and hesitated before she finally came out with a lame "whatever." She huffed in sheer annoyance.

Link eagerly waited for Sera to sputter something else in her defence but eventually sighed, his shoulders deflating. A smirk appeared on my face. I nudged him as he grimly looked back and handed me a fifty dollar bill, no one except Beck noticing our little exchange. I gave him a sheepish smile.
