The Johnlock Wedding

They're about to say their vows, all teary and overjoyed, but the priest interrupts and begins wiping off his excessive amount of makeup. His voice grows deeper and stronger in its accent with every swipe of the cloth while the grooms and their audience watch in confusion. Then, he slowly rips off his mask to reveal all too familiar face with an all too familiar voice which articulates, "I told you I was going to burn you."

With a gasp from the audience, Sherlock launches himself at the irishman and they go flying to the ground. "YOU!" he growls. "GET. OUT. OF MY. WEDDING!"

"Oh, Sherlock.." Moriarty groans. "Sherly, Sherly, Sherly.. without me, there is no wedding." The man pushed Sherlock aside and they two stand up, brushing themselves off. John stands by Sherlock's side and holds his hand, defeat taking over his ability to form sentences. He was devastated, as was the confused crowd and Sherlock.

"I will, and you better believe this sherlock because I really will.. I will burn the heart out of you." The villain smirks, pulling out a gun and pointing it in the general direction of the couple.

Concerned for his fiancé's safety, Sherlock whispers his name gently and pushes him behind him to give protection from the bullets. The crowds, frightened, leave on John's silent orders. It's now only John, Sherlock and Moriarty left in the room.

"There's only room for two of us, Sherlock." Moriarty taunts. Sherlock remains calm, trying to ignore the desperate squeeze John was giving to his hand.

"So it would seem." He hums, letting go of John's hand and taking his gun, pointing it at Moriarty.

"Don't try to outsmart me, Mister Holmes. You know in the end it's always just you... And me." Speaks the criminal with a smirk.

You could imagine it as a flashback to the pool. John had crept to behind Moriarty and was ready to pounce, like a cat. And surely enough, he did.

"Sherlock, run!" He calls, grabbing Moriarty and choking him. In response, the villain simply scoffs and rolls his eyes.

This time, Sherlock doesn't stay. He knows they have a plan, but if he stays, they'll both die.

Sherlock does run. Moriarty raises his gun and aims at Sherlock once more. He counts.
"Three..."
"Jim don't, please." John pleads. They're plan has gone wrong. James Moriarty can not be seen through.
"Two.."
"JIM, DON'T!"
"One!"
"STOP-"

"John?!" Sherlock stops in his tracks. He can't turn around. He doesn't want to. He doesn't want to have to face this.

Without turning, he pleads, "John. Tell me you're alright."

There is no response.

"TELL ME!"

"I'm sorry Sherlock. I really am. This has been a fun game, my dear. We should do it again sometime." Moriarty laughs. Infuriated and distraught, Sherlock turns around and sprints over to the Irishman, growling and crying as he shoots him. Not once, twice, ten times but seventeen times.

"TRY AN LIVE THROUGH THAT ONE, YOU MONSTER!" He sobs, falling to John's side and holding him.

"Sherlock.." He smiles up at the man he was supposed to be marrying today.
"John! Please, please don't leave! Please! I need you, John, please!" Sherlock cries and cries, letting his hand rest on John's wound while their foreheads touch. "I beg you John. Do not leave me, John Watson."

"Holmes-Watson." The wounded man corrects, still weakly smiling at the man he loves. "Do you?"

Sherlock cries out, pulling John impossibly closer. "I do."

"I do." John repeats.

They share a passionate, loving and desperate kiss.

"I love you."
"I love you too."

Sherlock watches as the light fades from John's beautiful eyes. He cries out again, screaming at the top of his lungs.

"I HATE YOU!" He screams at the unliving Moriarty. "WHY DID YOU TAKE HIM FROM ME?! WHY?!"

"Sherlock."

The detective turns his head to see his brother staring down at him, covering his lips and tears in his eyes.

"Sherlock I am.. So.. Sorry.." He says as he kneels down. "You need to get out of here, Sherlock."

"N- No, I can't! I don't want to! I don't want to leave him here, I need to-"

His eyes settle on the gun beside the dead body of the love of his life.

"No, Sherlock. Don't be ridiculous. Move."
"Mycroft, please. I can't just leave him."
"Two people have died today, don't add to the statistic!"
"Mycroft!"

They stare into each other's unbelievably emotion-ridden eyes for a moment, before Mycroft pulls Sherlock into a hug and comforts him.

"I loved him. So much." Sherlock wipes his eyes with his sleeves
"I know, Sherlock. I am so sorry. I really am."
"I can't live without John, Mycroft."
"You have done before. You can do it again. And you know I've been there for you before, and I'll be there for you again. Always."

Sherlock let out a sigh. "I really need you this time."
"I know you do, brother-mine."
