Lisa's ears moved when she heard the low rattling at the back of the store. She lifted her head to look. Her ears were now standing straight and stiff.

There was a scratching noise and some squeaks before the handle on the backdoor of the small store moved with a click.

She knew that it wasn't the owner or his family because they would've turned the lights on. She nudged Jennie. "Hey, wake up."

Jennie didn't even move.

"Nini-ah." Lisa pushed Jennie with her front paws. "Wake up!" She hissed.

"What?" Jennie lazily opened her eyes. Her ears immediately perked when she heard the backdoor moving. She turned her head. "What's going on?"

"I know that smell anywhere," one of the dogs in the other cage suddenly said. "So you're back, dark glutton?"

Lisa gasped. "Chaeyoung?!"

"I am not a glutton." The black Labrador opened the door with her paw and nose before carefully stepping inside the dark room. "I just happen to love food very much."

"Which is kinda the definition of the word 'glutton'," said the other dog again.

"Sssh!" Chaeyoung warned the small pet shop that had come alive with her presence. She made her way towards the small cage near the window.

"So did you find your little magical forest, Jisoo?" The parrot asked, looking down from her fake branch.

"I did, as a matter of fact, Unnie." The orange rabbit looked up.

Lisa had grabbed the bars of her cage by now, pressing her face against it. "You guys are back! I knew it! I knew it! Didn't I tell you, Nini? They're back!"

"I always keep my promises, you know," Jisoo said.

"Me too," added Chaeyoung. She approached the table the cage was on and stood on her hind legs, placing her front paws on the table. "Nice to see you two again." She grinned.

"How did you two even get in here?" Jennie asked. She was standing next to Lisa now.

"Same way we got out. Back door."

"But the door's locked this time and he changed the lock!" Lisa said.

"Yeah but he still kept the spare key in the same place, behind that loose brick," answered Jisoo. "You two look well." She smiled. She was now standing on Chaeyoung's head. "Let's get out of here."

"How? I can't climb out of here," Lisa said – rattling the cage. "He closed the lid." She pointed to the door on the cage's ceiling.

"Chaeng-ah, can you open it?" Jennie asked.

"I can't reach it. The table's too high." The dog reached out with her paw but couldn't touch the top of the cage.

Lisa sighed. "I told you, I had a bad feeling about this new cage. There's no front door," she told Jennie.

"Hm..." Jisoo tapped her chin, thinking. "If I could only climb up there somehow..." She looked down at Chaeyoung. "Stand up as straight as you can."

"What?" Chaeyoung rolled her eyes upwards to look at her small fluffy friend.

"You heard me. Straighten up." Jisoo then went down on all fours.

"Are you going to jump?" Lisa asked. She wasn't serious though.

"Yep."

"What?! You're crazy! It's too high!" Jennie protested.

"It's not if this black giant could just get a move on."
