"Hello?"

She looked up and turned her head towards the thin wall on her right. She must've been hearing things.

"Hello?"

There it was again.

"Hello?" The voice got louder.

"Err... H-hello?" She answered hesitantly.

"Can you hear me?"

"Err... yes?"

"What are you doing?"

She blinked in surprise. "Um... the same thing you're doing... I guess?"

"Oh okay. I'm sorry to bother you but I seriously need someone to talk to right now."

"O-kay?" She then heard a sniff.

"I-..." Another sniff. "I think he just dumped me."

"Oh." She took another second to react. "I'm... sorry to hear that."

"After I gave him one year, he just went out and dump me like that. That jerk."

She didn't know what to say.

"He didn't even say explicitly that it's over. He just said that he liked me better as a friend. The nerve of that guy! I bet there's someone else." A sniff and the sound of the toilet paper roll turning. "I bet it's that girl he's been doing his assignments with."

"Um... did you ask him that directly?"

"Oh trust me. I didn't have to ask. I just know it. I should've listened to everyone. He's a player. A dumb jerk player."

"If he is that much of a jerk then you should think of this as a good thing."

"What?"

"Well, you're rid of him now so that's a good thing, right?"

"What are you talking about?!"

She hesitated. "Well... I know it hurts but at least you broke up with him before you could spend more time and energy into the relationship, right?"

A sigh. "I guess it's kinda my fault too. Well, whatever. He can do whatever his jerk-self wants. I need to get going. Got class."

"O-oh okay." She then heard the flush. She also finished what she was doing, flushing and tidying up.

"Thanks for listening." A click of the lock.

She quickly unlocked the door to her stall, curious to see the person who had been randomly talking to her for the past few minutes. "No problem. I hope you feel better. Although it's a bit weird that you actually talked-..." She froze when she saw the girl holding a phone to her ear.

The girl was looking at her with raised eyebrows. "Thanks. I'll talk to you later, Irene" she spoke into the phone then hung up. She then looked around, looking for someone else – someone that the other girl could have been talking to. When she saw no one, she went back to staring at her with wide eyes.

She blushed, realizing the embarrassing situation. She quickly ran out of the bathroom, covering her red face with one hand.

"I swear, I'm never going to the toilet in that building again," she said while opening the small gym locker.

"It was unfortunate and quite hilarious but come on, you don't have to be that extreme," said her best friend as the short girl unlocked and opened her own locker a few doors away.
