"O.M.G. A bookstore," said Royoko.

"What?" asked Elisha, thinking she'd misheard.

"A BOOKSTORE!?!"

"What the? A bookstore? Please be joking." She is so joking. Please be joking. Please, please, please.

Royoko lifted Elisha's head. "Look."

Elisha saw a bookstore. Who puts a bookstore in the woods? They raced inside.

"Hello!" said a voice. It was perky and annoying. "My name is Cuh-low-ey."

"Hi Chloe," said Royoko, all smiles, and fun. "I'm Royko and this is Elisha. How are you?"

"Oh! You speak the General Language. Great! I'm fine guh-ruls." Chloe looked them over. "Your fantasy goers?"

"Hmm?" Oh, crap please don't be.

"Oh! Right. I keep the story of all people who were significant. I am the daughter of Clotho."

Elisha and Royoko sucked in a breath. Oh no. Oh no-no-no-no-no. Not Clotho's daughter. I was right! This is terrible!!!

"What is it? Are you scared of me? According to your book you are." she giggled. "Come. I'll show you to your books."

The goddess giggled and led them away. "I got my domain ceremony a few years ago. I got the tile of Chloe, the goddess of the stories of all significant fellows. a.k.a. Chloe, Librarian of Significance. By the way, Elisha, really love Coder, Killer series. I bought the books. They aren't on shelves but I read them all the time."

"Thank you. Can you really control the future?"

"No! I'm not the author of significance! That title goes to my cousin Lacy."

"Oh."

"Common mistake." she giggled again. "Come on. We're almost there!"

They entered a small room. She looked over. "This is the room of unfinished books. This is my favorite room in the whole library. Yours is over... here." she pulled a book off the shelves. "Some people are from a series. others are single books. Yours I do not know. I have many were it is clear. Shisa the Thrill-Seeker series. The Firebird. These were obvious. You, you are not so clear." the girl's voice had gained a melancholy drip. Is she... sad? She shook her head. "Well," she said, gaining back her perkiness. "Enjoy your stay in the forest. Atropos, Lachos, and Mom may control the future, but I and my cousins control all the significant. Ah. Addie controls all the deaths of important people. She's nice... but enjoys telling Lacy to kill people." Nice? Really? Someone who likes a major player's death is nice? Uh, uh. No way.

She took them over to the exit. "We can't make your life story easy. I'm afraid Lacy would try to kill me. Enjoy!" And she shut the door.

"Well, that was an experience."

"Tell me about it."

"That was an experience."

"That was not an invitation to do so."

"Ohhhhhh."

"Mhmm."

The two girls giggled as they left, with a new feeling of being complete. Royoko can't possibly argue with fate now!!! She has seen the library!!! That was actually surprisingly fun. It went far better than I had expected. I mean, she is a fates kin. And Clotho! Man! Now that I think about it. She said, Librarian. Not a bookstore owner. Hmmm.

"Okay. What is it?"

"Well, I was thinking."

"Snort. Really?"

"Hahaha. Anyway, I was thinking, what if that was a library. I mean,"

"Hun, hate to disappoint, but hun, that was a bookstore."

"She said she was a librarian."

"A slip."

"You. Are. Impossible."

"You are."

"Rargh."

Elisha stomped away. Honestly!!! "Oh, so you are all that, eh? Superior because you can sense illusions." She knocked on the door before she realized where she was. Chloe came out to greet her.

"Still angry at Royoko?"

"How-"

"I was reading your book. Most interesting thing since... um... a while, I guess. Anyway, are you going to use the unicorn shavings? Lacy cut herself."

"Unicorn-"

"The ones you got in chapter...oh, right. The ones you got on your first day."

"Oh!" I forgot about those! "Um, ya. Lemme get 'em." Elisha reached into her pack and pulled out the box she had transferred them to. "Here!"

"Thanks. Go meet up with Royoko. I'm sure Lacy won't make your anger permanent."

"Maybe."

"In fact."

"What?"

"Why don't I take you to Lacy and Addie. They've been wanting to meet you."

Elisha raised an eyebrow. "Sure?"
