When we reached the beach Slade took off his shirt and sat down in the sand. He undid his boots and took off his socks. He pulled down his pants and I turned around. I heard him get into the water and I took off my socks and shoes. I removed my jacket then followed by my shirt and pants. I put my feet in the water, it was cold and I don't like cold. Slade sighed and walked towards me. "No Slade. Don't you dare!" I said then he threw me over his shoulder and carried me into the water, dropping me when he was up to his waist. My head broke the surface and I put my arms around his neck. I kissed him then yanked him into the water. He splashed me playfully and I splashed him back. He splashed me again and I raised one eyebrow. "Do you really wanna do this? Because you will lose. I will win and be the splash queen." I warned. "You already are a queen." I laughed then dunked him underwater. And so it begins.
I layed in the beach beside Slade, he looked at me and smiled. "What?" I asked propping myself up on my elbows. He sat up and said "What if we." He stopped looking down then glancing up at me. I looked at him pointedly. "Just because I suggested that Oliver and Shado were doing it does not mean that we should." I said glaring at him. "But you said you were bored and, wouldn't it be funny if we came back and the noticed, just little hints." He said smiling evilly. "What? That we had a water fight then bumped uglies on the beach? That would be funny." I agreed. That would be funny as shit, but he wanted to do it because it would be funny. Not because he loved me. He sighed and smiled gently. "I love you." I was shocked. Could he read my mind? No. Only moms could do that and he was not a mom, I hope. "I love you to. Now, how about we." I trailed off and kissed him.
When we got back to to the plane it was close to dark. Oliver and Shado were sitting by the fire cooking what I hoped was a lizard or two. "Where were you? You weren't here when we got back." Oliver said sounding worried. "Somewhere. Besides, if you were that worried you would have come look for us." I said pulling the lizard off the fire. We each got half a lizard which was better than usual. We planed how to rescue Yao Fae and get off this stupid island. I went to sleep curled up in my hammock beside Slade while the fire still burned. Today was a good day.
