Boop!

Red Sole was laying quietly on the couch. She wasn't feeling too good - something that Omega and her blamed on the amount of ice cream she had devoured on their date.

"A full large cone? With EXTRA sprinkles? And right after dinner! That'd leave ANYONE feeling nauseous," Omega had reprimanded sharply after Red Sole succumbed to the ice cream and stretched out on the couch.

This did not help her out much, though - if anything, it made her feel worse. Red Sole hated being yelled at by anyone, especially her girlfriend. The two of them were at her house, as Omega decided that she might as well wait until Red Sole felt better before leaving. The truth was, that little snap was out of concern - what if Red Sole threw up? Still, after some time, Omega began to feel as if she had overreacted. Seeing Red Sole's down face, she decided it was time for a little icebreaker.

Omega sneaked over to the side of the couch, so she could look down at Red Sole. Before she could register what was going on, Red Sole felt a light, swift tap on the nose.

"Boop," Omega whispered softly.

Red Sole sat up, confused. It took a minute for her to register what had happened, and when she did, her face exploded in pink. This wasn't too uncommon - any time Omega showed any sort of affection, a wave of both joy and embarrassment washed over her. Omega chuckled at the inkling's flustered face, and, while she was still distracted, tapped her nose again.

"Boop!" she repeated, only more brightly and a strong hint of laughter in her voice.

Red Sole glared at Omega as the latter ran into the kitchen, no longer resisting the laughter. No one - NO ONE - booped Red Sole twice in a row.

It was on.

----------

Red Sole watched as Omega rustled around in the cleaning cabinet, looking for a hot water bottle. She was beginning to feel a little bit better, but her stomach still gave an occasional sickly churn that caused her to wince. Still, she was feeling good enough to walk around a bit, and even out the competition.

Omega turned around when she heard Red Sole coming.

"Feeling any be-" she was about to inquire how Red Sole was feeling when she was interrupted by a tap on the nose.

"Boop!" Red Sole sang quietly, before fast-walking away.

Omega was confused, as it took a moment for her to realize what had happened. Once it did, a sly smile spread across her face.

Seems like it's a competition now... she thought in mock deviousness.

----------

The booping competition ran well into the evening, as they both tried crazy tactics in an attempt to one-up the other. First, Omega hid in one of the closets, and when Red Sole walked past, she jumped out and booped her. Next thing Omega knew, Red Sole was jumping out from behind the wall, with a sneaky tap on her nose. Soon, neither of them were keeping score, simply laughing themselves silly. Eventually, they gave in to the joy, flopping on the couch and giggling hard. Suddenly, Red Sole's laughter began to dwindle.

"Hm? Everything alright, Red Sole?" Omega asked, her concern growing - more so when she saw Red Sole's green, pale face.

Red Sole didn't respond. Instead, she darted to the bathroom. Not one moment later, Omega's main concern came to light. She shot up from the couch and ran to the same toilet, holding Red Sole's hair back with one hand and rubbing her back with the other. The vomiting only lasted a minute or two, so they drew the conclusion that the running around and laughing stirred her stomach.

After Red Sole recovered, the two of them went upstairs. She snuggled under the covers while Omega placed a bucket next to the bed.

"You gonna be OK?" Omega asked, concerned.

"Yeah. Just gonna sleep..." Red Sole whispered as she drifted off.

Before Omega left, however, she walked over to the sleeping inkling, knelt down, and tapped her nose.

"Boop!"
