Ah, tags. Our relationship is complicated.

Tags are important because they provide the keywords to finding your story. Let me show you something:

This is part of the screen you see when you're writing. Do you see that little circle around the word "Tags?" Yes, that is where you can add your tags.

Use tags that reflect your story. For example, some of the tags I used for this story were "Guide" "Wattpad" "Writer's" etc. These tags can help your readers find your story. For best results, use at least five tags, although 10+ is recommended.

Important Note: make sure your tags reflect your story. If you're writing a horror story, don't use tags like "Unicorn" and "Rainbow" because it's dishonest to the reader. 

Remember: The most important thing about tags is to help your story get noticed. So take a few moments to plan out your story, and find some keywords that relate to your story. Type them in, and call them tags.
