Y/N's POV
"Ned, Peter, we're gonna be late. Come on, let's go." Liz called out as we were passing by their room.
"Okay, hold on, hold on." Ned's voice replied.
We went towards the Decathlon venue that was on the first floor. I was already getting butterflies in my stomach even though the competition hasn't started.
"Please be sure all cell phones are turned off." The Moderator's voice called out from the venue.
"Could we have all cell phones please from the Decathletes?" The security woman announced.
One by one we handed our cell phones to her, "Thank you."
"Where's Peter?" Liz asked when we were backstage. I looked around and I realised that Peter wasn't there.
"Ned, weren't you in the same room as him?" Mr Harrington questioned.
"Yes-uh but I don't know where he went." Ned answered.
Mr Harrington sighed, "Oh well, Flash you're replacing Peter." He handed Flash the yellow Decathlon jacket.
Flash looked up, "Me? Oh fine." and he took the jacket.
"Alright welcome to Academic Decathlon 2017 Nationals, can all the contestants come up on stage."
Liz went first, followed by Ned, then me, MJ, Betty, Flash, Sally, Abe, Cindy and Charles.
I took a seat on the table, the other team that sat down were wearing a maroon coloured blazer and they had less people than us. We were given a form that we needed to fill in, I quickly jotted down my information.
