He nods, eyes wide. We walk together towards the little cafe, him flanking my right side. When we walk into the cafe, he holds the door open for me and leads me to a table towards the back of the room. What a gentleman, I think. The chairs are black metal with black padding, and the table tops are a deep blue color. The windows are draped with blue curtains to match the tabletops, and the walls themselves are a light grey. I order a light salad because, I'm not really hungry. He orders eggs, toast with marmalade. And we both ordered water.

When the food comes he digs in, and I just pick at it. The vivid colors of the sunrise, orange, pink, and yellow still streak the morning sky. I hear the door open when all of the sudden Ethan yells, "Will! Come over here!" Oh no. It's the tall handsome man I saw on the street. When he sees me, his eyes widen immediately."This is Serena." He says. "We've met." he says. Ethan has a puzzled look on his face then starts to cram his mouth full of eggs, toast, and strawberry marmalade.

We sit the rest of the time in awkward silence. "May I be excused? I need some fresh air." I scoot out of the chair, while the grinding sound echoes through the cafe. Will gets up and follows me. When I walk out a morning chill hits me. "What are you doing with him?" he asks.  "Nothing, my family knows him and I wanted to see him for lunch." I had to stop myself when I almost said my family used to know him. "Who's your family?" "Is that any of your business?" "I think so, if it has to do with my friend." I scoff and pace. "Just because he's your friend doesn't mean you need to know every detail about me."  I roll my eyes and start to walk away. He grabs my arm like he did about an hour ago. But this one is different. It actaully sends shivers down my spine. "What?" I almost yell. "There's something going on here that you're not telling me. And I'm going to figure it out." I shake my head and walk towards the sun. Even though the brightest and hottest star couldn't light the fire I'm about to light.
