Chapter 61

[Jiho]

"Come on, Jiho-ya. For your friend," Haechan said for the nth time, with matching puppy eyes that are very cute, but I wouldn't say that, it'll send his ego to outer space. I frowned, "Why me? There are tons of girls in SMA, Haechan-ah. Besides, I don't know if my mom will let me."

I just arrived in SMA and just when I entered the classroom, Haechan pulled me and asked me to be his fake girlfriend tomorrow, for a family reunion. I do want to help him but I'm having problems about acting as his girlfriend. because first of all, I've been single since birth and I don't like to lie.

"I will tell her myself, just say yes Jiho-ya. I'll take care of everything. And why you? You're my only girl best friend, I can't ask Joohyun or Seulgi, I might even show up in that family reunion with a swollen cheek." he pleaded once again, making me sigh. "What will I get from this?" I questioned. Looks like I have to ask Jangmi for some tips on how to act as a girlfriend. I've never been one!

He became silent, making me smirk. "Oh come on! It's just for a day, Jiho-ya. Don't worry, I'll tell Jaemin and Jeno--" "Tell us what?" 

I pursed my lips when the two eggs showed up eating, they looked like kids for a second. "I'm taking Jiho out tomorrow."

"What?" says Jeno, who stopped eating his bagel.

"Fuck no." says Jaemin, food almost spilling from his mouth.

I winced, "Why not? It's for a reason, dumbasses. I don't like Jiho like that, and if I do she's my girlfriend already--OWW! What the fuck was that for?!"  Haechan said, making me kick him. Is he seriously talking about that in front the eggs?!

"He just want to avoid the family questions about him being single still." Mark chirps, making the other guys laugh and Haechan roll his eyes at him. "I'll take her home at 9 pm, I promise! I just need her to act as my girlfriend for tomorrow." he asked the two.

The two averted their gaze to me, making me flinch, " W-what?"

Haechan held my hands and kneeled in front of me, making my eyes go wide, "Pleeeeeaseeeeee, Jiho-ya. I don't want to be a third wheel tomorrow."

Funny enough, I'm already third wheeling ever since Jangmi and Seojun became a couple, "I'm not sure about this, Donghyuck."

"Just do it, so that he can shut his mouth up. It's getting annoying," Renjun said, making Haechan glare at him, the his gaze went back to me, "So?"

I sighed, "Do I have a choice?"

Haechan stood up and pulled me in a tight hug, only to be pulled back by Jaemin and Jeno, "Thank you, Jiho-ya! I promise, my family will like you, trust me." he said. He suddenly grabbed my bag and my hand, "Wait, what are you doing?"

"Taking you out as a start of our fake relationship, let's go!" He cheerfully chimes before pulling me away from the two eggs, leaving them shouting.

"Okay Haechan, just send her home at the exact time you said and keep her safe, okay?" My mom said to Haechan, who is all giddy and smiley when my mom agreed on what he asked for.

He nodded, "Thank you, Mrs. Kim, I won't let you down."

Haechan sent me home after a full day of being in the mall and telling me about his family, the background and everything. Turns out he's only the single one, and they seem to be pretty desperate about him having a girlfriend.

Haechan looked at me smiled cutely, "I'll be fetching you here tomorrow night, so I know that you'll have plenty of time to get ready."

"Oooh, Lee Donghyuck can drive, huh?" I cooed, amazed that he can drive. "Yeah, all of us actually."

I know that, Jaemin drove my mom's car here before. That was the time when I got mad at him for blaming me. Time really does fly, it was like yesterday when we don't understand each other. Now, I have a crush on him, him? It's complicated. I still remember that night, when he kissed me and acted like nothing happened the next day, while I had troubles on keeping my face look normal.

When Donghyuck left, I went to my room. I changed into more comfortable clothes and I was about to lay down and rest when my my phone rang; Jeno.

"Hello?"

("Come outside.") he said then ended the call, weird.

I slipped into my socks and fuzzy slippers before going downstairs, I saw Jeno and smiled at him, "What's up?"

He smiled too, "Did you have fun with Haechan today?"

I nodded, "Something like that." I did have fun, it's just that my feet hurt from too much walking in the mall earlier. "Do you want to go inside? I'll--"

I became quiet when Jeno gently pulled me into a hug, "What happened? Did you and Jaemin had a fight again?" I asked, moments like this makes me anxious. "Nothing really, I just missed you." he hummed, making me feel more anxious.

I'm becoming more guilty everytime I'm with Jeno. What if he knows that I like Jaemin? What if he says that I'm unfair? What if he'll never talk to me again?

He pulled away and showed me a smile, "You can go back inside now, I just came by to see you, that's all," he said, then ruffled my hair, "See you tomorrow." he bid then left.

I bit my lip while staring at his back until he disappeared, this is making me feel uneasy to the point that I want to throw up.
