I really didn't need that party, but Luke insisted I have it. He had something big planned is what he said, and it was pretty big.

An hour or so after the party and it was just me and the mates, Luke says he wants to give me my "big" something. Naturally, my heart starts racing. He leaves for a while, then comes back close to twenty minutes later with quite a bit of shirts on. I look confused towards Michael and Calum, but they're no help because they're distracted by something else. He sits me down on the couch and my heart starts banging harder in my chest.

“I wish you would tell me what you’re doing, Luke,” I say when he walks away again. He comes back with the biggest grin on his face and stands across from me. “What is it?”

“It’s your family,” Luke says then my family comes rushing out from the bedroom. I instantly smile and jump up to hug everyone. I seriously can’t believe they’re actually here in my house and it’s all because of Luke. While talking non-stop to my family, I notice Luke looking at me with a weird expression, but once I notice, he looks away. I brush it off and focus on my family.

We make plans to go everywhere possible in the next week, as they only have a week to visit. I have plans to come out to them some day during their visit, but I’m not sure what day. No one knows, so I’ve been keeping it to myself, and I think my family deserves to know.

Plans have been made to go to dinner tonight, so I decide to hop in the shower to freshen up before we head out. Once back in the sitting room, I look around and everyone’s gone. Shrugging, I head out the front door and realize they went to the cars. I hope in one and we drive off into town, hoping to find a place to eat fast as the plane trip was a while. I direct the car to the Mexican restaurant that I ate at a couple times.

The parking lot is jam packed with people so we have to find some other place to eat, which happens to be the Chinese place right next door. I walk in and want to walk out just as fast when I see that Adam’s at the register.

“Ow.” Luke says as I yank him back by his arm.

“It’s Adam,” I say in a harsh whisper nodding towards him.

“It’s going to be okay, just stay to my right,” Luke says and pulls me to his side. We walk fast to get to our table so hopefully Adam doesn’t notice. I sit next to Luke for protection from the sight of Adam, which works, at least for a while. We look at our menus and decide what to get, and our waiter comes to our table, who just happens to be Adam.

“What about you, Irwin?” Adam says once he looks at me to take my order and I quickly and quietly say what I want before passing my menu to him. He glares at me before walking away.

“What was up with that?” my mum asks once he’s out of hearing reach. I feel my heart pound a little harder as I scramble to find what to say.

“Oh it’s just someone I have bad blood with. No biggie,” I say with a shrug.

“He’s not harming you, is he?” she asks with a concerned look. I respond by just shaking my head, hoping to lean away from this topic. Luke looks like he was about to say something but he just sighs, looking away. I can tell he’s upset so I hesitate before slowly moving hand to slip it under his that’s resting on his knee. He has no reaction besides putting his fingers between mine and smiling like a goof.

His hand leaves mine as soon as he sees Adam coming out of the kitchen with our food. I place my hands on my lap and smile lightly to myself as the smell of food fills the air. I look up and notice Calum looking at me with a wink, he looks away. I figure he noticed and hope he’s not going to tell anyone about this.
