The police officer didn't buy it.
I struggled to pull away.
"CONNOR HELLPPPP!!!!!"
That moment I saw Connor run towards me and the cop.
I felt a small hand on my arm.
I looked to the hand, to see who was connected to it.
I didn't recognize who it was.
"Audrey it's me." he said.
Everything was in slow motion.
The boy pulled me and I ran with him.
He pulled me into a room that was labeled 'EMPLOYEES ONLY'.
"It's me, Audrey." he said in a whisper.
"WHO AR-" I screamed as he put his hand over my mouth.
"Jack...its me Jack..." The voice whispered.
"Jack? Really? Why are you in Washington??" I asked, why was jack here?
"I ran away from California...yeah I know I went to my aunts and she brought me here with my uncle." he looked down.
"WHERED THE LITTLE GIRL GO?" I heard.
"My parents..." He whispered.
"They hurt me....badly" he sniffled.
"I'm sorry jack.." I brought him into a hug.
A couple seconds later he got up, "thanks audrey, so much.." he spoke.
"Jack, your not the only one, remember when we met and there was a rug burn on my arm...yeah my parents a-were the same way and my grandma passed on and off to the adoption center I went now here I am in Washington because I posted one singing video on YouTube" I said in a whisper.
"Audrey I can't believe you-" he sounded sympathetic but I cut him off, "don't be jack, don't be."
"I've got to face my fears and go back to my parents...thanks jack for helping me but I guess I have to turn myself in...goodbye." I hugged him.
I hopped up and turned the knob.
"Audrey NO!" He said pulling me back down.
"Jack I need to" I said.
"No...you shouldn't you don't deserve that...i know my ways around this mall there's a vent up there," he pointed to a vent "come on let's make it into Olympia it's closed we can hide there."
"What? Jack? Your CRAZY!" I laughed.
"Audrey I'm not letting you get turned in, we'll hide until morning."
"Your crazy, jack I can't believe it." I laughed again
