Chapter 8-wait what did you just say?-

"No no no no no no..." I started crying again.

"It's okay" he said.

"NO JACK EVERYTHING ISNT OKAY" i whisper shouted.

I went through the vents all the way back to the storage room, My tears flowing down my outfit.

I looked for Charley as three police men came up to me.

"Audrey?" The bigger one asked.

"Franta.." I said as I looked at the tiled floors.

"You have to come with us, you're parents are looking for you, well parent..." the shortest one said.

"What?" I looked up.

"Your mother passed away with breast cancer 2 months ago." he said looking at me.

I then recognized that officer that hadn't said anything..

It was the cop who brought me to Miss Suzie's Orphanage!

"Audrey? Wait are you the little girl I took to Miss Suzie's Orphanage that day?" He stared at me in shock.

I nodded and smiled.

"Where's Connor?" I asked getting angry.

I looked over to the storage room and saw Jack standing there with Charley.

"I'm not going with you unless you let me see Connor." I squeezed my wrist.

They left me with silence.

A couple minutes later they came back.

Connor was with them.

"Your free to go kid." The huger one said.

"C-Connor...." I hugged him tighter than anyone ever before.

"Audrey..are you okay?" He hugged me back and then let go.

"Yes I'm fine now."

Charley ran over to us we all wrapped each other in hugs.

"Wait...um officers, what about my old family?" The looked at us.

"We'll take care of that sweetie." The cop who took me to Miss Suzie's spoke up.

"Thanks.." I said smiling at everyone.

I then looked back over to the storage room forgetting about someone.

"Jack." I whispered to myself.

I ran over to him.

"Jack, oh my gosh..i..i can't leave you here alone to wonder in these vents.."

"You have to, go Audrey, live a happy life with Connor and Charley. You're a beautiful singer and a bright hearted girl, stay that way." he hugged me.

For a second I didn't hug him back. then I realized what he said and hugged him as tight as I could back.

"Thank you for making my crazy life complete Jack...im sure you'll see my name in lights soon." I laughed.

"I'm sure I will Audrey, I'm sure I will.."

I hugged him tightly again.

I waved goodbye and walked away with Charley and Connor.

"Woah what a day..." I said getting into the car.

"We didn't even get to shop!" Charley laughed.

"I owe you guys a shopping trip soon." Connor said intertwining his fingers with Charleys.

"Nah, it's okay Con." I said.

We drove back to Shawns.
