Chapter 7 -Not them...-

We hid up in the vents staring at the people going in rotting basketballs and stuff.

"When's it gonna close up again?" Jack said.

"I don't know, hopefully soon because I'm too cramped up here with you" we laughed.

I was warming up to Jack again, even though I haven't seen him in a while.

He still had that same cute, swe- gross, ugly, raggedy hair from the day when I kinda fell over on my bike.

I was so stupid. But I'm with Connor now. And he taught me a lot.

At least the radio was on in the store.

So we weren't bored we were having quiet little jam sessions. Just then someone pushed the hangers and I saw who it was...

My sister...Ellison

"DADDY! LOOK I WANT THIS JACKET!" She screamed. I tensed up. "Jack..that's my old f-family..." I whispered as quiet as I could. "it's okay." he said.

"What if they find me?" I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

"It's okay" he said again.

"Okay anything for my favorite little girl in the whole wide world!" My dad said picking out 3 jackets."

They spoil her.

I started crying.

"It's okay" he said for the third time.

"Not jack it's not." I tried to be as quiet as I could.

"I think you're just hungry. I'll go get food." He squeezed through the vents.

I closed my eyes wishing that this was all just some crazy dream, I never met connor, I never came to Washington, my parents never hurt me..

I fell into a deep deep sleep.

"ZOE!"
"NO!!!"
"no...no..no..no"
"Audrey..i loved her..so so much"
A boy British voice started talking. I couldn't see who it was, apparently I was in the hospital in this dream.

"Audrey..I got some French fries.." I was awoken. It was Jack.

"How did they not know you were...you?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I have good news, no ones looking for you and I found Charley? I think that's her name. She's going to help us." He said

CHARLEY! Thank god...but where's Connor? I thought.

"Did she tell you anything about Connor? Is he safe? Hurt? Anything?" I asked quietly.

"Um...yeah, they arrested him"

It felt like my heart stopped beating..Connor..Arrested?

"What I need to know what's going on...now."
