Chapter 4-Shopping With Connor and Charley-

The next morning I awoke from a bad dream.
It was about me, and I was back with my old parents...
I took a shower and got dressed: a t-shirt that said 'Living The Wild Life🐯' and sweatpants because it's fall and yeah.
I started watching YouTube on my laptop when Connor walked in.
"Hey Audrey, I have exciting news!"
I looked at him.
"You are going to Aaliyah's school!!"
"Cool." I said plainly.
I kept thinking about my dream and what would happen if I actually did go back...
"Umm you wanna go out for breakfeast in a few minutes?" He asked me.
"SURE!!" I said, "hey..can Charley come?" I smirked.
"Yeah." He said blushing an pulling his fingers through his hair.
He shut the door and walked out.
"Yes!" I whispered.

"Where you wanna go Audrey?" Connor said.
Charley's hand was on the thingy in the middle of the seats.{idk what it's called😂}
Connor intertwined their fingers together.
I made a confused face.
They both looked back at me and smiled.
Charley pulled away to put her hair up.
"I love your shirt Charls!" He said looking at her shirt that said 'what's everybody it's Connor.'
Charls? Wait is this a thing? OMG? What is happening?
We kept driving.
"We should go shopping!" Charley said.
"Yeah!" I said excitedly jumping up.
"Whatever for my two favorite girls!" He said smiling and looking at both of us.
So we arrived at the mall.
I ran in and looked behind me watched Charley and Connor hold hands and laugh.
"COME ON COME ON COME ON GUYSSS!!" I screamed excitedly.
"They both started running.
I walked in.
"WOWWWW" I said.
It was huge, escalators going up and down, a ginormous food court.
I ran as fast as I could up the escalator hearing screams fade as I kept running.
"AUDReyyy-"
I ran to the food court as a police officer came walking up to me.
"Hey are you Audrey?" He asked bending down.
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"Your parents are looking for you sweetie, you gotta come with me."
"No." I said in shock.
he grabbed my arm and tried to pull me.
"CONNOR CHARLEY!!!!!!!!!" I screamed seeing them come up the escalator at that time.
He kept walking.
Connor ran as fast as he could up to the officer.
"Excuse me, this is my daughter. I adopted her.." he said.
"Please let me go back with him." I quivered my lip.
"Your parents and other cops are looking for you!" He said.
"Why did you leave in the first place?" said the officer.
Charley walked up to us out of breath.
"I-I...." I couldn't even speak.
"I......g-g-g-ot b-b-b...." I was so shocked, I felt a tear tool down my cheek. And another, and then full out tears streamed all the way down my face. Connor hugged me.
Charley hugged me too.
"It's okay baby boo!" Charley said wiping my cheeks.
"They. Hurt. Me...." I finally said.
