Song for the chapter: "Confirmation by Justin Bieber."

Quote for the day: "Vital lives are about action. You can't feel warmth unless you create it, can't feel delight until you play, can't know serendipity unless you risk it."

Ella's POV
A lot of things were going through my mind. How could Paul and Lorraine go ahead without my permission? And by the way it was never in our plans to involve the FBI so what was going on?

I was more tired than angry. I just wanted to go back to the mansion and fall asleep. Finally, Beck knew everything about me and I was so relieved. For a moment I thought I was going to be judged but love does weird things to us right?

"Ella are you okay? You look really tired."

I looked at Beck and all I could see was love in his eyes. This was all strange to me. Was I supposed to look at him that way too or just answer him straight up, avoiding any eye contact.

"Yes I'm fine Beck. I just want to sleep right now." I turned my face to the other side. I could feel butterflies in my stomach.

"Well my shoulder is always here and please look at me. I hate it when you start being so distant." He kissed my knuckles and I let my head rest on his shoulders.

"We're here sir!" The driver said in his baritone voice and I looked out of the window. We weren't at the mansion. What was this place?

"This is one of my hidden houses and the others are inside waiting for us so let's go."

We walked into the house together, our hands linked. When we opened the doors he gave my hand a light squeeze and I gave him a smile that didn't reach my eyes. I was tired.

"Finally you guys are here!" Paul groaned and I could tell that he just woke up.

"Shut up Paul let's hear what they have to say." Lorraine scolded.

On a normal day, I would laugh at them but today was no laughing day. I just stared at the both of them and when they noticed that I was not having any of their bickering they kept their mouths shut.

"Who are you?" Beck asked the lady sitting beside Aunt Carla and I took a proper look at her. I didn't notice she was in the room since I was too busy thinking of Paul and Lorraine that I didn't look around.

"Beck sit down and I'll introduce everyone to our guest." Aunt Carla replied, grinning widely.

'What was there to be happy about?' I thought.

"Beck this is your mother, Gabrielle and Gabrielle this is Ella, Beck's girlfriend."

So Gabrielle was here. Wow! Perfect timing. Just when her lover was arrested by the FBI she ran here to hide. I glanced at Beck and he gave me a small smirk.

On the other hand, Ben was looking like he didn't give even want to be in this place. He chewed slowly on his gummy bears and concentrated on his phone. Certainly not the attitude or reaction I was expecting from someone who just met his mother that ran away many years ago.

"Hi I'm Gabrielle and it's nice to meet you Ella. I've heard a lot of beautiful things about you." She smiled mischievously and stretched out her hand for an handshake.

"The pleasure is all yours Gabrielle." I smirked and she withdrew her hand immediately. Ben chuckled and every other person in the room tried to hide their laughter except Aunt Carla Of course.

"Have you two met each other before?" She asked.

"I don't think so Carla. You know I've only been to the top notch parties and occasions for elites. I don't think I've seen her anywhere close to the high class people." Gabrielle bragged and I scoffed in reply.
