Song for the chapter: One less lonely girl by Justin Bieber.

I'm gonna put You first,
I'll show you what's your worth.
If you let me inside inside your world,
There's gonna be one less lonely girl.
Only you shawty!

Quote for the chapter: "Remember, There's always a calm after the storm."

Beck

"Beck what do you mean? This smoothie tastes really nice!" Ella moans in delight and I chuckle lightly.

"This smoothie tastes really nice." I try to mimic her and she hits my arm really hard.

"I sound nothing like that!" She shrieks.

"Of course you don't." I say sarcastically and she pouts.

I look down at Lol and I realized that the poor cat had gone to sleep a long time ago. Lol was probably just tired of our early morning banter.

"I'm sure we bored the poor thing to sleep." I whisper-yell and she chuckles.

Yesterday, Lorraine had informed me on Tonia's arrival and how she wanted to fix things up with her daughter. I didn't know how to break the news to Ella, so I decided to let it slide. If Tonia comes around, then so be it but if she doesn't, then whatever. I didn't wait to raise Ella's hopes up only to have her disappointed at the end of the day.

"What's on your mind Mr Stone? You know you can tell me anything." She caresses my beards and I slap her hands off with a smile on my face. "Don't worry you'll find out soon." I wink.

"Whatever you say. Okay get out I'm about to cook up something." She shoos me away from the kitchen and she walks to Lol to pick him up. I get up quickly, ready to leave but a crazy thought runs through my mind at that very minute.

When was I ever going to overcome my fear of cooking?

I shut my eyes for a second and I turn around. "Ella I think I'm ready."

"Ready for what?" She looks up at me slowly and when I remain silent, she gasps. "Hold on, Beck are you sure about this?"

"I'm a hundred percent sure I want to do this." I give her a reassuring smile and she walks over to me and she pecks my cheeks.

"Grab the flour from the top drawer we are making pancakes." She orders.

"Okay captain!"

I grab the flour as she had ordered and she taught me how to make pancakes perfectly. We made waffles too, fried some eggs and right now, we were sitting down enjoying our breakfast.

It felt like a burden was lifted off my shoulders. At a point, I felt like I was going to pass out but Ella had held my hands whenever she noticed that I looked uneasy. A guard walks in immediately interrupting my thoughts.

"Sorry Sir."He turns to Ella and acknowledges her. "Madam, You have a visitor."

"Who is it?" Ella asked, her nose scrunching in confusion. "I'm not expecting anyone."

I send her a small smile. "Send her in." I order and he walks away.

"Why did you do that? It could be a serial killer."

"With the security around? No I don't think so." I get up from my seat slowly and wrap my hands around her small figure. "Calm down kitten. You'll find out soon." I grab her hands and lead her to the living room.
