When Sophie woke up that morning, she had one thing on her mind. Date. She had a date with Keefe this afternoon. He had asked her out while they were making the pillow fort, and they decided to keep it a secret so Grady didn't murder them in their sleep.
She quickly put on some human clothes that Keefe had given her. They were going to the Forbidden Cities. She didn't know why, but Keefe, Ro, Sandor, and herself, were going to the Forbidden Cities for what Keefe called Emergency Shopping.
Edaline and Grady were in the kitchen so she and Sandor went the cupula on the 4th floor. "Candle shade," she whispered into the Leapmaster 500. They had decided to meet there since the Shores of Shallace wasn't on the Leapmaster.
When she got there Keefe was waiting for her. He walked up and but a- "Blindfold?"
He laughed, " You can't see where we're going." she groaned " You better not kidnap me." he gasped, "I would never!" She rolled her eyes and then realized he couldn't see her eyes. " It would be a privilege to be kidnapped by you." She joked in a preppy accent. He chuckled, " Foster let's just go." She let him pull her into the let.
After dragging her around town for a little bit he pushed some doors open and took her inside. He took off her blindfold and she gasped. It was a pet store! " Thank you, so much Keefe, She exclaimed throwing her arms around his neck. " Your welcome Foster, now you go get yourself a pet."
As soon as she started looking she knew she had found the one. It was a beautiful chocolate lab puppy. Keefe came up behind her and smiled. " Is this the one?" she nodded vigorously, " Uh-uh." He went do to the paperwork while she sat playing with her new dog. What should she name her? Bella? It was Italian for beautiful. " Do you like that," she cooed " Hu? What about Bella?" On hearing the name the little puppy bounced up and down. She laughed and Keefe came back over, " Do we need to get her toys?" He asked, " I've never had a pet." She got up with Bella in her arms, "Let's go to Petsmart. It has dog food and toys."
When she teleported them to Petsmart, Ro and Sandor used an obscurer to follow them at a distance. They got Bela dog food, a crate, 5 comfy dog beds, a doggy mansion, 80 bones, and 200 squeaky toys. It was a little overkill, but they could but didn't even dent their birth fund. They had taken out a million dollars so they used every last penny. Needless to say, Petsmart's dog section is gone now.
They decided to go home now so everyone wouldn't worry. Boy were they wrong. When they got home, it was chaos.
