"Miss (L/N)? Hello?" (Y/N)'s doctor's voice boomed through her car as (Y/N) sat wordlessly, thankful she pulled over to take this call while driving; fearing that she might've crashed the car out of shock if she hadn't.

"Could you repeat that?" (Y/N) breathed out, pinching her arm to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

"I was calling to inform you of your test results from your doctor appointment- and everything looks great! The only reason I called personally was because you had written down that you are not pregnant, and according to your blood test- you are pregnant." the doctor explained calmly and carefully, being sure to take pauses so his patient had time to take in all of the information.

"Oh, I see. This is a surprise." (Y/N) replied, eyes widened in shock.

"Congratulations! If you need an OB, we have a great one with our practice. Call the front to schedule an appointment."

"Thank you, doctor. I will. Have a great morning." (Y/N) whispered shakily into the phone before hanging up.

'Pregnant? Me?' (Y/N) sighed to herself. 'That's the last thing I would've expected right now,' she thought.

"Well, I better start driving again. I don't want to be late for brunch with Gou." (Y/N) thought aloud.

It was a beautiful morning- the wind was blowing, but it wasn't obtrusive. The sky was blue and the sun was beaming down on the people of the world. It couldn't have been a better day for (Y/N) to hear the best news of her life- except she was distraught. She wanted a baby, and so did her fiance, Sosuke. The two were to be married in less than a month and they were both over the moon about it. However, (Y/N) had been there through all of Sosuke's shoulder problems and she remembers how broken and beaten he was. It took him a while to get back to the sport he loved more than almost anything. Now, he had finally returned to the world of competitive swimming. He deserved it, more than anyone. But, (Y/N) couldn't help but wonder if a baby would hinder his success.

(Y/N) exited her car to the agreed cafe she and her best friend, Gou were to meet at. She spotted the redhead already seated at an outdoor table for two, sipping on a cold beverage that seemed to be some sort of iced coffee.

"(Y/N)!" Gou beamed, standing up from her seat to engulf (Y/N) in a hug. "I've missed you so much!" Gou exclaimed.

"I know! I'm so happy we were able to find time for each other today!" (Y/N) agreed, pulling out the seat in front of Gou and seating herself.

"The waitress should be back shortly- I already ordered a (favorite drink) for you. Look at their food though! Their pastries are to die for." Gou expressed to the girl, gesturing to a sort of raspberry pastry on the menu.

"Thanks..." (Y/N) muttered, her mind drifting further from the conversation.

"What's wrong with you?" Gou asked, immediately picking up on (Y/N)'s shaky demeanor.

"Gou..." (Y/N) gulped. "I'm pregnant."

"OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!" Gou shrieked, causing a myraid of heads to turn to their table. Gou grabbed (Y/N)'s hands. "Congratulations! I just know you're going to be the best mom! And Sou will be the best dad! How did he take it? Oh my gosh, I bet he's so excited! The muscles that baby will have..." Gou rambled on, causing (Y/N) to chuckle.

"I found out.. on my way here. Sosuke doesn't know yet.." (Y/N) spoke softly, gripping Gou's hand for support.

"Oh, well. I have no doubt he will be ecstatic. Why so gloomy?"

"Things just started looking up for him... He supported me even when he was unable to do the thing he loves doing most.. Through it all. He's absolutely amazing to me. And now, he's finally back where he wants to be. What if this messes things up for him, for us? What if he resents me for it?" (Y/N) vocalized.

"Sosuke could never resent you. He looks at you like you invented the lightbulb." Gou said matter-of-factly, causing (Y/N) to laugh at her bad analogy.

"You're right, I can't help but worry though." (Y/N) murmured.

"You guys are getting married in a few weeks. You're acting like this baby means you guys are suddenly stuck together, but he knows what he's getting into. Sure, this is not how you would've planned it, but the best things come unplanned." Gou reassured.

"When did you get so damn mature, Gou?" (Y/N) smiled at her slightly younger best friend.

So, (Y/N) took Gou's advice. She patiently waited at their shared apartment, sitting on the edge of the bed. Sosuke busted through the door, reeking of chlorine and hard work. "Hey, my love." Sosuke greeted his fiance.

"How was practice, Sou?" (Y/N) asked, not looking up.

"Not too bad. It's so refreshing to swim and not to feel pain." Sosuke expressed excitedly. (Y/N) stiffened, not wanting to ruin his excitement. Noticing her tense state, he put his hand on her shoulder.

"What is it?"

"Sosuke... You're in this forever right? Me and you?" (Y/N) asked shyly, sticking out her pinky as for him to complete the promise.

"Forever and always." Sosuke nodded, wrapping his pinky around hers.

"Was me giving you a ring and proposing not enough to prove that..? You're my person." Sosuke chuckled.

"Now, it's people." (Y/N) corrected.

"People? Did you get a cat or something?" Sosuke furrowed his brows.

"I'm pregnant- and I know we didn't plan it- but I hope this is a good thing-it is a good thing-" (Y/N) rambled until Sosuke cut her off with a gentle kiss.

"You're pregnant?" he whispered, his smile radiating pure happiness.

"Yes. I found out this morning." she nodded, tears slipping out.

"I don't care if we planned it. I'm so happy (Y/N). I love everything about you, and every part of you. This baby is going to be the most loved baby in the history of babies." Sosuke declared as he pressed his forehead against hers. She placed her hand atop his and squeezed it.

"I thought you might've been upset. Everything just started to look up, and I don't want you to sacrifice your time." (Y/N) expressed her concern.

"Sacrifice my time? We're having a friggin baby!" Sosuke exclaimed, his voice cracking. "Spending time with our baby will be a prize, not a punishment. We will make our careers and this baby work."

"I love you." (Y/N) whispered.

"I love you too. We've always been able to prioritize our relationship and it's worked out beautifully. I mean, we've been together for 5 years. So now, let's prioritize our family."
