Love Knows Me Not

Good Bye

-December 29, 2018-

-Dr. Resme's Mansion 8:30 P.M.-

-Funeral Day-

Anthony-

Today is the dreaded day where I have to inter the love of my life to a paradise, while I rot away in a society that hates me. She was the only one who loved me, who showed me genuine compassion, will now be six feet underground and the world to mock me once more. I thought to myself as I got dressed in a silver suit with a white and blue striped tie for the funeral mass done by Ascosin and Sage, under the gracious supervision of Mint and Dr. Resme. All Time Low showed up as well after hearing the news, to bring instrumentals and slight joy to this sorrowful situation.

Mint-

-Same Day at 4:30 P.M.-

"Anthony, my wife has told me all about you and Christine... I am sorry for your loss. If there is anything we can do.... just ask." I said as I helped Anthony adjust his tie and style his hair with my powers of water, and electricity.

"Thank you ma'm. I certainly will." he said glumly.
Wow it is as if his life was drained out of him, for a hispanic man he was as pale as death. Then again I can hardly imagine the experience he saw, his lover got murdered by a psycho hell bent on revenge. I know Anthony isn't much to his peers with all the death threats addressed to him. Condemning him for his crime of existing as himself and what have you, but I could not imagine loosing my wife ever! We survived from ten time periods and onward, I don't plan on having her die by physical injuries either... I thought as we readied ourselves for prom triple checking our outfits for this occasion.

-After Sermon, Eulogy Ceremony 9:00 P.M.-

Sage-

"Christine was a bloody good mate to me. She was always there no matter what... sick or tired she would still do her best to bring happiness to all who meet her," Tears started to form in his eyes, but he blinked them away. "Sh- sh- she was a great person who didn't deserve to die. In her memory I will continue to be of service to her one true love Anthony, he will not be harmed again. However Christine gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of love for God's children. She is with in our hearts. I- Shit I promised I wouldn't cry!" Sage said as he started his waterfall of tears as he left the podium.

Ascosin-

"I never really had interacted with Christine, but I knew Anthony and I knew Anthony loved her like no one ever did. Though in the midst of the valley of shadow we fear no evils. her heroic act of sacrifice will make her one with the martyrs. I know this is tough, but we all should celebrate Christine's successes she hates the super sad stuff as she told me one fine evening. So lets honor her memory! Anthony I am sorry for your loss and Christine watch over him, I wi-" Ascosin said as he too began to bawl his eyes out and decided to teleport to his seat.

Dr.Resme-

"Christine has been a true friend, and even a true love to Anthony. I can relate to his being an outcast. For centuries thay was my life. Mint and I too were outcasts hated by society, and though our love continues, for Anthony love died. Having witnessed the murder of his lover, he is scarred for life and unbearable grief. Today we mourn for two close individuals, Christine and Anthony's heart. Both pure things in this world that had potential, thrown away from society, and though I may not be religious.... They will be the corner stone to something greater. For years society has tried to kill Mint and I as witches. However we are only righteous people, who do right thing like this couple. I see Mint in this young man and me in Christine. Their love transcends bonds done with obscure power.

Thomas-

"I love Christine. She always read me stories when she and Anthony visited. Not to mention she played with my toy planes, and gave me piggyback rides. I don't understand why today is so sad. Christine is just sleeping she will wake up eventually right?" Little Tommy asked the congregation.

Anthony-

If only Tommy knew of the pain this day truly held, but fortunate for him ignorance is his greatest blessing. I began my eulogy on the brink of tears.

"She was my everything. She was my love, my queen and now she's gone... I remember all the fond moments we had. From chatting on Skype from eighth grade up, to the last of her moments slow dancing with me before her murder. Ascosin is right about one thing. We need to honor her memory. Though Christine hates negativity today is a sad day for me. I miss her, and knowing that she died to save me..."

Tears started falling from my face, but since I am the last one before the funeral procession I must poor my broken heart out.

"Christine even in death you still are my love for life. And if you are present here today, know that I will stay with you until the end of time. I love you, the gracious soul that has changed a bitter young man into the merriest man. Christine I still feel guilty for your death, and I know that you will probably be the only one that will have ever showed me love. My parents deceased from Ebola have abandoned me. The jewler that gave me the beautiful ring died from Jonathan's wrath, my only family and love died. So in memory of all of them. No matter how many times people want me dead I will survive. For the Jewler Thomas, for my dearest love, and for my heart that had just died. I will try to find love again. For love knows me not, not today or tomorrow, but for eternity."

"So Christine rest in peace for I am coming soon."

The piano was playing our song but slower just to match the mood everyone dare not speak.

The congregation and I sang I'll Cover You Reprise from the broadway musical RENT.

Then I finally lost it, tears flowed as we proceeded to the cemetery to inter my love forever into the stone cold earth.
