Finley Oaks sat around thirty people, most Veterans in the game, some Rookies. All that mattered was who would win.

She conversed with her friends, consisting of CT, Johnny Bananas, Wes, and Bear, someone who she had learned to tolerate over time.

It was nice to just talk, but tension was clear in the air. The only person you could ever trust in this game was yourself. Anybody else was a liability.

The atmosphere changed dramatically from fun and talkative to serious and tough once they all got off the plane, getting into two rows, Finley in the first because of her short figure.

"Welcome." TJ spoke, gaining everyone's attention. "The war between you is still brewing. This will be the most dangerous season we've ever had. For those of you that can embrace the madness and survive, one million dollars is at stake."

Finley grinned, bumping shoulders with Johnny, her best friend. He sent her a devious smirk back, using her head as an arm rest.

"It's not going to be easy," TJ said, continuing his speech, but fighting back a smile at the two.

Not that he had favorites, but, yeah, Johnny and Finley were basically his favorites.

"All right, this will be the hardest thing that you have ever done. You must prove that you can adapt to any situation because you'll be living in a world with constant uncertainty."

Expect the unexpected. Finley thought.

"Sometimes you guys are gonna be put in teams, sometimes you will be paired up, but make no mistake, the only person you can trust is yourself. This is an individual game. I guarantee you, no one knows what's coming. Straight up this season is no joke. I hope you're fucking ready. I'd like to welcome everybody to The Challenge: Total Madness."

Everyone cheered loudly, and Finley pumped her fist in the air, almost punching Johnny in the face. She tried to keep a straight face when apologizing, but failed. "Sorry."

He gave her a noogie in return, causing her to laugh.

"Today's challenge is called Battlelines. You are playing as individuals. As you can see, there is a battlefield behind me. Several lines drawn across it. Each line goes to medical supplies. To begin, you are going to start on one end of the line."

"When I say go, you are going to crank and reel in that rope as fast as you can, dragging the medical supplies 500 feet across the battleline. Along the way, you are going to be solving a puzzle and then you are going to be solving a math equation. Not only do you have to be fast, but you have to use your brain too."

She grinned at the camera, her eyes bright and full of energy. "Not to sound cocky or anything, but I think I have a solid chance at winning this one. I know I have the arm strength, I'm pretty fast, and I think I'm smart enough to solve a math problem and puzzle. Best case scenario is Johnny and I win and form the Tribunal, but it's also okay if at least one of us go in. Wish me luck!"

~End Of Confessional

"It's not going to be easy because I'm going to be in one of these tanks going back and forth. If you're not fast enough, I'm gonna demolish your chances to win, and you're out. Alright guys, it's going to be played in 2 heats. The player to get their medical supplies across the battlefield the fastest will win today's challenge. One for each heat and you will want to win because winners will have a lot of power. Men, you're up first."
