Outside was cloudy and the sun wasn't shinning. It was still nice to breathe fresh air.
"You stole those outfits, if you get caught your dead" Hailey whispered.
"You are in here for shoplifting, what's the difference?"
Hailey shrugged. "You are not a criminal. I have being getting into trouble with the law my whole life"
I nodded. "Look, don't worry about me. I promise I will be fine"
Hailey stared straight ahead. I followed her gaze over to a a pretty girl leaning against the face.
she looked at me and smiled warmly.
Hailey waved her hand over at her instructing her to come over to us.
"Who is that?" I asked her.
"Nicole Jensen. She must have just got back, I haven't seen her around"
I nodded as I watched she paced towards us.
Nicole stopped in fount of me and smiled.
"Are you new here?" she asked.
"Yeah"
Nicole had golden blonde hair that fell over her shoulders into a wave and hazel brown eyes with long eyelashes. She looked to be a little taller then me, with large breasts and a skinny figure.
"Mind if I sit with you?"
Hailey nodded.
She sat down in between us and Hailey didn't take her eyes off her.
Nicole looked at me. "So what did you do?"
Might as well tell him the truth.
"Evidence points at me for killing my brother"
"Oh, if you didn't, than who did?"
"My mother" I told her.
Nicole gasped. "Was she abusive?"
"Well yeah, she killed my brother"
"Yeah, losing someone is had and being abused is even worse, I had foster parents that beat me once"
"Oh. I'm sorry, what happened to your real parents?"
"They died in a car accident when I was really young"
"I'm sorry to hear that"
"It's okay I'm over it. I was seven when it happened"
I nodded.
"So why are you in here?" I asked.
Hailey didn't say a word. She was looking down at her shoes, wiggling her feet.
"I've being in here many times for many things. I just got put back in for being involved in gang activity"
"Was it a bad gang?"
Nicole nodded. "It was. I witnessed them kill a girl once because she didn't pay the money she owned. It was horrible"
I nodded.
"Did you help kill her?"
Nicole shook her head. "No, I would never kill anyone. I was just there"
"Do you like being in the gang?"
Nicole took a deep breath. "No but once your in, your there for life. There is no quitting or turning back"
"That would be so hard. What if you wanted out?"
