Nicole and I sat under a tree in the park, watching the sun disappear behind the hills.
My mother left without me after I refused to leave with her. She told me she would wait for me to come home where I truly belonged.
Sarah didn't say anything after my mother left she only looked at us with a blank look, unsure what to do next. I think she was ready to see gun shots bursting though the door and everyone being arrested like the shows on TV.
When she got her words out she told Nicole and I to never set foot in her café again.
"I know you didn't do it Jaydee" Nicole told me put her arm around me and bring me closer to her.
"Good, because I didn't"
She kissed my forehead and I smiled without taking my eyes off the sunset. It was beautiful, it glowed with colors.
What made me mad the most, was how my mother just acted like the perfect mother when really she was nothing but a monster!
There had to be some proof to free me, Jesse was smart, he was always prepared but was he prepared for this?
"Did you know that the sun never really leaves?" Nicole questioned.
I smiled, "Yeah, it just rotates to the other side of the earth"
"Yeah that's right, but since the moon is shining I think that you should get some sleep before the sun rotates back around"
I nodded and leaned my head on her shoulder.
I stepped into a room that glowed with white. Jesse stood there at the end of the room staring at me, as if he might be waiting for something.
As I stepped closer to him, he smiled and opened his month to speak.
"I had faith in you Jaydee, I knew you could stand up to her"
I smiled feeling proud.
"Find the proof you need, Jaydee its there, just look"
The room stared to flash and everything was gone and Jesse was no longer standing in fount of me. It was just a window looking out into a summer day.
I opened my eyes, Nicole was still holding me tightly in her arms, she tilted her head back looking at me. She looked at me like I had never been looked at before, not even by Jesse. Her look it was different.
"Morning"s he said
"I had a crazy dream!"
"What was it?"
"Well, it was kind of odd but Jesse told me that there was proof but he didn't tell me where it was"
Nicole looked at me as if I was crazy for a second but than she smiled
"Well, than why don't we take a look?"
I smiled, "My house would be the best to look, wouldn't it?"
Nicole nodded
"Oh well, what about your mom?"
I shrugged "whatever, her being there is a risk ill have to take, are you coming with me or not?"
Nicole shrugged.
I stood up and picked up my bag
"I don't know if it's the best idea to go your house"
I rolled my eyes. "Well I need proof, and as crazy as it sounds I think my brother is trying to guide me and I have to listen, so again, you coming or not?"
She nodded and quickly grabbed his bag and together we walked out on to the street.
"So where do you plan on finding this proof?" She asked me sounding unsure.
She would just have to trust me, I needed her more then anything right now."No idea, the first place I'm looking is Jesse room; he was always so well prepared for everything!"
"Jaydee, I'm not trying to make this sound mean, but how could you be prepared for something like this?"
Nicole had a point and it was something I didn't really think about, but I had to go on.
"I guess, but I have to try. I just need something to prove I wasn't the one who killed my brother, like anything at all!"
"Jaydee, what kind of proof would there be, like really? Unless your brother put cameras up but really why would he do that?"
"That be a good idea, I can't say he is crazy, he was my brother and my best friend. He also always had a plan"
"Well honestly Jaydee, the only thing we can do is look"
"And that's what we are going to do!"
She gave me a nervous smile, then grabbed my hand, and stroked her thumb slowly. She might think my plan was crazy, but I had to do something, I had come here to prove that I was not the one who had killed him, and I was not giving up now.
