Ring~

The last bell rang. Areum gathered her stuff as she prepared to leave.

Jungkook ran towards her as he started talking about how amazing his day was, "Art was so fun! And vocal lessons! And the teachers were so friendly and the students were so nice! I feel so welcomed!" he exclaimed.

Areum nodded as she began walking. His words went in one ear, and went out the other.

"Yah , Areum! Are you listening?" Areum looked at Jungkook who was looking at her, "I asked if you wanted to eat some tteok-bokki? Tteok-bokki always makes me happy! It's my favourite food! Maybe it can make you happy and smile!" he beamed.

I wish..She thought, she just nodded and followed him as they made their way to a food stall near by.

The smell of tteok-bokki made their mouth water. Areum bought one small plate while Jungkook bought two.

Being the gentleman Jungkook decided to pay even though she insisted in paying.

" No I want to pay!" Areum argued.

"Okay,fine. How about this? We play a game of scissors paper stone, whoever wins will pay? Fair?" Jungkook suggested.

Areum nodded before doing a scissors gesture. She had lost. She grumbled as Jungkook paid happily.

They ate the savoury tteok-bokki while he began some small talks with her. "Your mother is such a kind person! I wish I had parents like that!" Jungkook exclaimed.

She looked at him and frowned, "How would you know, you've never met her." Jungkook looked at her confused. "Miss Eunji, isn't she your mother?" She looked at him and began shaking her head as she swallowed the tteok-bokki. "Miss Eunji is my Aunt. She's taking care of me because my family.. Their not here anymore and it's my fault."

Jungkook gulped as he shook his head, "Whatever happened, I'm sure it isn't your fault."

Areum looked at him angrily, "How would you know, you weren't even there, if only I listened. The incident wouldn't have happened! They died because of me!" Areum yelled as she stood up and left.

Jungkook's eyes widened and he gasped as Areum stomped off.

Many eyes were fixed at him, some looked curious, some worried and some annoyed.

"I'm sorry," he said as he bowed and apologised one more time before running off.

He started running after Areum,"Wait!" he yelled, "I'm sorry!" he continued as he chased after Areum.

Areum ignored Jungkook as she continued walking. "Areum please! I'm sorry! Please, you're the only close friend I have.."

Areum stopped in her tracks. She turned around and looked at Jungkook. Her gaze softened, "It's Fine. Let's just go home." Jungkook smiled and nodded as he followed Areum.
