warnings: graphic depictions of violence and angst, a little bit of a cliffhanger

"Peter!" Happy shouts, running down the steps of the jet.
Peter begins to run towards him before falling short, holding his arm out, how is he supposed to know this wasn't just Beck?
"Stop! Tell me something that only you would know!"
He watches as Happy looks confused for a moment, "uh, when you asked me to find that dress for y/n? You were so scared because you thought she couldn't feel the same way you feel. I told you that you have to take every feeling that she gives you and hold onto them. That what you feel for her should be enough?"
Peter sighs in relief, running the rest of the way to Happy and hugging him.
"I'm so glad it's you," Peter gulps as Happy and him climb into the jet.
"Why wouldn't it be?" Happy asks as he makes Peter sit down and he grabs the first aid kit.
"Beck, he's controlling the monsters, they aren't real. He's using drones to create these illusions and oh god," Peter buries his head in his hands, sobs racking through his body.
"What happened with y/n?" Happy asks as he begins to stitch up one nasty cut on Peter's upper back.
"Beck has her. She's been under his control for a long time," Peter sighs, running a hand through his hair.
Happy finishes one last stitch and Peter slams his hand down on the table.
"Ow!"
"I thought you had super strength!"
"It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt," Peter sighs, frustrated he stands up, crossing the plane to sit in a seat opposite Happy, "I just, I really miss Mr. Stark. I miss not knowing what he did to y/n."
"Would you trade Tony's life for hers?"
"What do you mean?" Peter asks, leaning forward in his seat.
"If Tony survived defeating Thanos and his army, would you have found out about the Red Room?"
"No."
"You wouldn't have, that's right. Y/N and the rest of those girls would have met some cruel fate at the hands of Nadia. There's a good chance the Avengers would have shown up to fight them instead of trying to save them."
"Happy I don't know if I saved her!" Peter explodes, standing up again, "I put her in danger again! It's my fault for wanting her to go on this stupid trip! That's why I wasn't with her that day, I was selling my toys. And Beck got to her. It's my fault that she's in trouble."
"Peter the only thing that you're at fault for is helping her turn into a better person than who she was a year ago. You don't know what circumstances would be different if you walked home with her that day. You don't know if Beck would've found another way to get to her. But do you want to know what I know? I know Tony made a lot of mistakes. That includes selling the nanochips to Nadia. But the only mistake he didn't make was choosing you."
Peter sits down again and rubs his eyes, tears quickly falling from them as they become progressively redder, "I don't want to be the next Iron Man."
"Kid, nobody is asking you to be. But right now, your friends need you. Y/N needs you. They need Peter Parker. They need Spiderman. So what are you going to do?"
"Beck has Y/N. So I'm going to rescue her and kick his ass."
"No, I mean what are you going to do about it now? Because we've been hovering over this tulip field for fifteen minutes and we should probably get going," Happy sighs.
