Halos wala akong narinig after. Bumubuka ang labi ni Trish but I don't hear anything what she was saying. Trish slowly sipped her drink and waited for my reaction, but I just froze there.
"Lourie, I'm here to let you know that I'm not letting go of Joni. Whatever it takes." Trish seriously said.
Wala pa rin siyang emotion sa mukha. Her eyes were trained at me. How should I react? Sobrang gulo ng utak ko at the moment. Napakuyom ako ng kamay.
"What do you mean by whatever it takes?" I finally asked.
Napalunok ako pero my throat was feeling dry and hot. She sighed. She took her phone out of her bag and placed it in front of me.
"Here. This is the proof. Ako ang kasama ni Joni kagabe."
Her phone showed multiple pictures of them in a bar drinking and the time stamp didn't lie. It was taken last Friday night. They were at a bar. They were happily drinking and partying. Hindi ko hinawakan ang phone niya so she was the one swiping the photos. My mind was trying to process it but my heart won't.
"How about last Tuesday?" Matapong kong tinanong.
"Do you really want a proof?" She asked and finally smirked at me.
"I think my heart can handle it." I dared.
"Loving comes with a cost but be my guest." She smiled.
Trish picked up her phone and scrolled. Pagkalapag niya ay nagplay ang isang short clip. Parang binuhusan ako ng malamig ng tubig and my body just became numb and rigid.

This time I let my tears fall. I grabbed my clutch and proceeded to walk out. But in all timing, Joni suddenly appeared in front of me with a smiling face. I stared at his handsome face and it hurts. Mabilis umiba ang expression niya at dinaluhan ako.
