JONI
Friday morning ay may oras pa kami ni Lourie magbreakfast after getting ready for work. We had a quick love making morning session cause we were already satiated from the night before.
"Joni, nakausap mo na ba si Trish if we could both talk to her?" Tanong ni Lourie sa akin as I ate the pancakes that she made.
Medyo napa-ubo ako sa biglang tanong niya. My nape turned hot.
"Uhm medyo busy siya ngayon." Sagot ko.
"Naalala ko kasi na sabi mo kung ok ba sana this week natin siya makausap." She recalled.
Binigyan niya ako ng bowl of berries which I gladly took.
"Don't worry. We'll have time to talk to her." I sincerely answered her.
"Even though may naging kasalanan siya medyo namiss ko rin siya." She said with matching wrinkling of her nose.
She looked like she was teenage Lourie when she did that. I held her face and I can't help myself from kissing her. Nagulat siya but she returned my kisses.
"You're truly an angel." I smiled and warmed my heart of her innate goodness.
The day went fast and ready na ako umuwi ng maaga para hindi mastuck sa Friday traffic and to surprise Lourie. But I was more surprised when Trish came in my office again.
"Joni, libre ka ba tonight?" She barged in.
"No! Not again. I'm not falling for any of your tricks." I growled.
"I said I was sorry." She pouted.
I hate her gut. I know she isn't sorry for what happened. She planned it all out. She just loves tormenting me at the moment.
"Tama na ang nangyari noong Tuesday." I dismissed her.
Mabilis ang kilos ko while I try to quickly clean ang ibabaw ng desk ko mula sa papeles ng mga reports.
"I need you tonight." She pleaded.
"Trish, bingi ka ba? I said no." Inalis ko ang nakahawak niyang kamay and faced the other direction.
"Why are you all stressed up with me so much Joni?" She teased.
Lumipat siya sa likod ko and she put her hands on my shoulders. She started massaging my shoulders. I had to pinch the bridge of my nose. I pushed her hands away at tumayo ako to face her.
"Stop it, Trish. It won't work this time." I hissed again.
Walang takot na lumapit siya sa akin and she pulled me closer to her by the lapel of my suit.
"I'm your best friend and I need you tonight." She demanded with matching stomping of feet.
"Stop glaring at me like that, Trish."
I've been having headaches since Tuesday night. I'm not sure because of what happened or because of stress. She smirked and leaned into me.
"Sabihin ko kaya kay Lourie." She whispered.
"Don't you dare." I hissed.
"I've got the upper hand here." Tumawa siya and she knows I cannot say no to her.
"Your really resorted to blackmailing this time." I said to her in disgust.
"I don't care. I'll be waiting at the basement where your car is parked." She said finality at nagwalk-out.
