That evening at family dinner Nashon was all smiles. You must have had a good day at work today, Nash. Did you make another big sale? No Aunty, but I had lunch with the woman of my dreams. Oh, really and where did you meet her? Who Tiffany? Mel blurted out. Yes, Ms.
Tiffany. Nashon replied, looking up with a cheesy smile. Who's Tiffany dear? It's the woman who bought the car the other day Aunty. Oh, I see. Where does she live? Greystone Estates. Oh wow, that's a ritzy neighborhood. Does she know ya from the hood? Latisha loudly interrupted. Yes, Tisha, she knows I live in the hood.
Latisha always spoke her mind she was 4 years younger than Nashon but was always in his business. She worked at a hair salon in the neighborhood, where she worked her way from being a shampoo assistant to specializing in braids and weaves, once the stylists discovered her talent. She often brought clients to the house to make extra money on the side doing weaves. Latisha was the typical round the way girl, she loved to party and always kept it real.
Alright, my boy! How did it go? Mel asked. It went good, so good we're going out to dinner this weekend. Oh ya? You didn't do so bad then. I'm going to call her, as soon as I finish this meal. Alright, now player, Mel said jokingly.
After Nashon got his shower, he plopped down on his bed, wearing his red and black striped boxers and quickly searched for Tiffany's number that he had saved under dream girl. His heart skipped when she answered saying, "good evening Nashon". They talked all night until 1 am. He was really falling for this girl. She was so smart and so different from the chicken heads he was used to dating.
They made plans to meet for dinner Saturday night in the city at this restaurant Nashon suggested called Slick's, that turned into a jazz club at night. Tiffany had never heard of it. Nashon had used the restaurant a few times to seduce females in the past and it always worked like a charm.
Saturday came pretty fast. Nashon had gone to a few stores after work the day before to purchase some new white kicks and a baby blue and white button-up shirt with some jeans. He just came from the barber to get a line up, and was all set for an evening of pure bliss.
Aunty, how do I look? Nashon shouted as he skipped down the steps to the living room. Aww, you look fly baby. That Tiffany is one lucky girl. No Aunty, I'm the lucky one this time. So, where you kids headed? I'm taking her down to Slick's so we can hear a little jazz after our meal. Oh, check you out, taking her to hear some mature music. Good stuff, have fun and be safe. Yes, Aunty, Nashon said after giving her a kiss on the cheek.
Just as Nashon opened the door to leave Mel came scurrying down the steps. Aye, my boy! Good luck tonight! Mel shouts out, while throwing a pack of rubbers to Nashon. No thanks man, Nashon said throwing them back. I'm not going to need them tonight. I'm taking my time with this one. I'm going to be the perfect gentleman. Well, good luck with that man, don't come home talking about she gave you blue balls either. Nashon laughed as he closed the door behind him.
