Tiffany had been running on about planning her father's 60th birthday party and how stressful it was. Nashon secretly wondered how stressful it could be if you have a planner doing everything, but he kept his thoughts to himself. The Winters were known for throwing extravagant events. Everyone that's anyone attends their party's and it was always highly publicized. Tiffany was making less time for Nashon, while the planning was going on, but he did not mind at all. Nashon knew that the opening for partner at his firm was approaching and he was trying to strategize. His numbers were pretty steady, but he had pretty stiff competition from execs who had worked for the company for decades and had tons of credentials.

One day at work one of the fellow stockbrokers came by Nashon's office. Steve was usually pretty friendly and would often come by to chop it up. Nashon found it amusing that Steve tried his hardest to sound black, when he talked to him. Hey, bro! Steve said. What's going on? I'm hearing that Mr. Winters is having a big birthday party. 60th right? That's right, Steve. Oh, bro that's tight. You know everyone will be there, that's a dream for anyone trying to climb that corporate ladder you know. So, do you have anything big planned? Speech?
Announcement? Proposal? No Steve, but if I do, I'll be sure to let you know. Oh cool bro. Well, it was good talking to you. Stay up. Nashon chuckled as Steve walked off. Listening to him trying to sound black was cringe worthy. Although, Steve did have a point. That event could make or break someone's career. Nashon thought long and hard. That could be the perfect time for me to propose to Tiffany. Those rich people love a show and Apen would love to show off by having Tiffany Winters future husband as partner.

Nashon was putting his plan into motion. He had three months to find a ring, get Mr. Winters blessings and plan the perfect speech for the party. He felt his adrenaline pumping, thinking about what a show he could put on for those rich fuckers.
