Nothing could have prepared me enough to have to stand face to face with my dad. I was anxious to just get this over with. I was standing right in front of a building exactly where he told me to wait.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" I ask.

"We're sure. He should be here soon," Rick says through the earpiece.

I knew they were surrounding the area waiting for him to show up but I felt so alone. The building looked really old and abandoned. I keep glancing down the road waiting for him to come. I keep bouncing back and forth on my feet. Finally I see a sports car driving down the road. It pulls up besides the house and Garret gets out slowly making his way over to me.

"I didn't think you would be stupid enough to show up," he says with two other guys following not to far behind him.

"I guess I am. Now what do you want?"

"Maybe you can use your pea sized brain to figure that out because I'm not going to take up time to explain," he says as the two guys come up and grab me by my arms.

"I think you're the one with the pea sized brain actually," I say, hearing from the earpiece that they're moving in.

"I wouldn't try that with me. You know the consequences."

The guy on the right side of me then gets shot and falls to the ground groaning. "I don't know I think the consequences are pretty low right now."

Garret turns around and immediately pulls out a gun. I turn to the other other guy beside me and get him to let go of me pretty easily. I look back up as I hear Garret's gun go off. Looking past him I see Lucas fall to the ground and I could feel my heart stop. I was frozen in my spot as others came out getting a hold on the three guys and taking them away. Finally I go running over to Lucas and kneel down next to him.

"Im okay," he says quietly. "It's just my leg and shoulder. I'll be fine."

Lucas goes in the ambulance to the hospital while I take my car. Once I get there and get Lucas's room number I hurry to his room. He was asleep when I got in so I just sat down on a chair nearby to wait for him to wake up. The nurse had told me he lost a lot of blood and was lucky that he wasn't any worse. She had told me he may be a bit sore for a while but he should be fine. I don't know what I would've done if I lost lucas.

After hours of waiting and almost falling asleep many times Lucas finally wakes me. He gives me a sleepy smile and he slowly sits up some.

"Hey," he says. "You look exhausted."

"I'm fine. Are you okay?"

"Just sore but I'll be fine.

"I thought you had died at first," I say trying to not cry.

"It would take a lot more than that because I'm invincible!" he says loudly.

"I don't think that's exactly true," I say laughing.

"I can dream right?"

"I guess," I say laughing again.

He reaches other to be and pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. "Now I really think you should at least try to get some sleep. You look like you're about ready to pass out."

"I'm not leaving."

"I didn't say you had to. Now come lay down and try to get some sleep."

I carefully climb in bed next to him making sure not to bump his leg. He then puts his arm around me and puts my head on his chest.

"I love you," I whisper.

"I Love you too and I'm not going to be leaving anytime soon."
