This is the dress she was wearing. I have made a goal to try to publish at least one new chapter each week. I hope you guys are enjoying it! Feel free to leave comments, thoughts, and suggestions!

My leg was bouncing uncontrollably. Why was I so nervous? Lucas and I were in the back seats on our way to the club. It was dead silent. I could feel the gun that was hidden under my dress. Lucas was just staring out the window with a straight face. How could he be so calm? I on the other and was about ready to lose it.

We stop right outside. Taking a deep breath I climb out of the car. Lucas didn't say a word to me and left. I knew what I had to go through so why did it matter to me. I head inside being greeted with loud music. I never liked bars or any place with alcohol. It wasn't my thing if you would call it that. Some of my family members who I had lived with drank it and I never wanted it to have that effect on me.

Looking around I spotted Parker in a tux finishing up a conversation with another man. I go into the bathroom needed to make it look like I was crying which wasn't hard though. All I had to do was think about my family. Heading back out I see that Parker is now alone. Taking a deep breath I walk over to him. I tap on his shoulder to get his attention.

"Pa-Parker."

He turns around looking annoyed at first but then his face softens once we sees me. "What do you need?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Okay?"

"Can we got somewhere without these people?"

He nods his head and starts heading to the back door. That was exactly where I needed him to go. A man was behind me ready to lock the door behind us. We both step outside at the side of the building. I slowly start backing away from him as Lucas steps out. Parker was trapped. The only way out was through the door or where Lucas and I were. The door was locked and we were in the way.

"A trap? Seriously?" Parker says hurt in his voice.

"I'm sorry but I had to. You need to come with us."

"I can't."

"I don't think you have much of a choice," Lucas says.

I watch closely as Parker goes reaching under his jacket. I quickly follow pulling out the gun that was under my dress. Daring a glance back I could see that our backup was ready to take him away. Looking back I could see then gun Parker was slowly pulling out. I really didn't want to but I pulled the trigger skimming Parkers shoulder. He drops the gun to the ground holding his shoulders. The others come putting him in cuffs. I turn away not able to look at him another second. I could see the pain and shock in his face. Without waiting for Lucas I start heading away. I wasn't sure where my feet were taking me but I just had to get away. I couldn't break down I had to keep strong.

"Madeline wait!" Lucas yells.

I turn to see him running to me.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh so you want to show some compassion now?"

"I'm serious."

"I'm fine. Let's just go."

Without a word we leave. Once we get to the plane I get in first while Lucas talked with the pilot. The inside was beautiful. I had never got to actually ride in our planes. You were extremely lucky if you ever got to. When I first walked in I saw four seats facing each other. Right behind was a couch and two more chairs with a small table in between them. In the back was a bedroom and the bathroom.

"Are you going to sit down so we can leave?" Lucas says from behind startling me.

"Oh, yeah sorry."

He squeezes past me and sits down in one of the chairs. I sit down across from him as we both do up our seatbelts. We stay silent during takeoff. After a while a lady comes up to us asking if we would like something to eat. Lucas answers for me telling her to get us both his usual. I sit there confused but don't argue. She comes back setting a slice of cake in front of both of us.

"How is this dinner?" I ask looking up at him.

"It's not but its good," he says with a smirk.

Shaking my head I start eating. I was surprising really good. After we finished I pull out my phone to see if there were any notifications I had got before we left on the flight.

"I can give you the internet if you want," Lucas says before I could even turn on my phone.

Without checking my notifications I put in the code and hand my phone to him. It takes him a bit longer than I thought it would.

"Who is this?" he asks still looking at my phone.

"What are you talking about?! Why are you snooping?!"

"Well I wasn't put this person won't stop texting and it sound like threats."

I snatch my phone away from him looking at what he was saying. He was right.

Unknown:

You know I'm very proud of you

I saw you met your brother

Your becoming just like me

I am disappointed though about who you shot

For that you will pay

I'm always watching you

You will never be safe

I was surprised by what I had just read. I knew exactly who this was. I shut off my phone not wanting to see anymore. Holding my hands tightly I try to control myself from shaking. How did he find me? Why did he even care about me? Why me?

"Madeline?" Lucas says.

I look up not saying anything.

"Are you alright?"

I just nod my head.

"I don't believe you. Who is that?"

I don't say anything undoing my seat belt and moving to the couch. I put my head in my hands.

"Who is that?" he says now in an angrier tone moving next to me.

"NO ONE!" I yell looking over at him.

"I don't believe you. Tell me now," he says now angry.

"Not now. Please."

"Just promise to tell me later," he says now in a softer tone.

"I promise," I say going back to look at the floor.

That's when I feel a hand on my back. Looking over I see Lucas staring at me with concern.

"Your worried about your brother Parker aren't you?"

I wasn't going to lie to him this time. Slowly I nod my head trying to hold back my tears.

"We'll go visit him once we get back."

I look up confused.

"If that's okay with you."

"Yeah...I would like that."

Removing his hand from my back he stands up. "You should get some sleep."Then he goes to the front of the plane.

I didn't want to get up. Instead, I opened my bag that they had brought on and set on the floor. I pull out a blanked laying down on the couch thinking. Why did Garett suddenly have such and interest on finding me? How did my brother end up with those terrible people? Did he even want to be with them? Why me?
