Madelaine's POV:

"MOM! MOM! I can't find my bucket hat, have you seen it?" I yelled to my mom as I was packing for camp. I looked under my bed and in my closet and couldn't find it.

"Um... the last time I saw it it was hanging on the back of your door," my mom yelled back. I closed my door looking at the hangers. I moved my backpack and saw my tie-dye bucket hat.

"Got it!" I yell to answer her. "Thank you!" I added. I put it on over my long wavy red hair. I grabbed my suitcase and walked down my stairs to the front door. Today was my last day of school and my last day at home before I was headed off to Euphoria Camp. I have been going there since I was 9 and it's like a second home to me.

I went outside and threw my bag in the back of the car. I went inside, filled my water bottle with fresh water and ice, and took a big sip. I'm going to miss the taste of freshwater. The water up at camp has the slightest taste of metal. You get used to it after a while but at first, it sucks. I filled my water bottle up again and then put it in my backpack.

"I'm ready to go!" I yelled through the house. My little sister Olivia came running down the stairs.

"Mads!" She yelled jumping into my arms. Even though she was 14 she will always be my little sister. I'm 18 and just graduated high school. "I'm gonna miss you," Olivia added. She pulled away from the hug and smiled at me.

"I'm gonna miss you too Liv," I replied. I pulled away from the hug to see my dad coming down the stairs.

"Hey, sport!" My dad said as he pulled me into a hug.

"Hey Dad," I said still in the hug.

"I'm gonna miss you but I hope you have fun," my dad whispered to me. He gave me a little kiss on the cheek and pulled away from the hug. I smiled at him and let go. My dad and I  have always been close.

"Bye, mom!" I said hugging her.

"Bye baby," she answered kissing my cheek. She pulled away from the hug and smiled.

"Okay bye guys I'll see you in two months," I said walking out of the front door. I sat in the front seat and put my keys in the car. I started it and back out of the driveway. I plugged my phone into the AUX cord and hit shuffle on my playlist.

3 hours later I arrived at camp. I parked my car and got out of the front seat. I looked towards the camp when I felt two arms around me and all of going sudden I was on the ground.

"Madelaine!" Someone yelled from on top of me. I opened my eyes and saw my best camp friend Cami on top of me.

"Cami!" I yelled back and wrapped my arms around her. We hugged for a couple of minutes then got up.

"Guess what. We have a new counselor this year and she's hot as hell," Cami said, pulling me off the ground.

"Really!? What's her name?" I asked opening my trunk.

"Vanessa," Cami replied. "But I think she has a boyfriend," Cami said.

"Why does that matter. Were not gay," I answered laughing.

"I know but I'm just saying," Cami laughed grabbing my suitcase.

"Here, I've got that," I said reaching for my suitcase. She pulled her hand back and took it from me.

"No that's okay," Cami said walking towards the cabin. I laughed, closed the trunk, grabbed my backpack, and followed her towards the cabin.

"Hey Cam, did your ass get bigger?" I asked noticing she didn't look as flat as she did last summer. Now I don't spend all my time staring at her ass it just happened to be in front of me.
