Vanessa's POV:

I woke up freezing. I looked up at Madelaine and her eyes were still closed. She was still asleep. I checked my phone. It was 04:37am. I got up and sat down next to Celinas bed. She was sleep and looked so peaceful. She can't die on me. I'd have nobody left.

I put my head down on her bed.

"Celina please be alright," I whispered. "Please I need you. I need you to be alright," I continued. I looked up at the heart monitor. It was slowly beeping. A tear slipped out of my eye and rolled down my cheek.

"Celina," I sobbed into her bed. "Please please please please please," I repeated over and over again, gently banging my head in to her bed. I felt two arms grip my shoulders. I jumped up hitting her in the head.

"Vanessa," Madelaine said as she let go of my and held her nose.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry," I said moving her hand. Her nose was bleeding but wasn't broken. I walked to the bathroom and wet a piece of paper towel. I walked back to her and put it on her nose. "You scared me Madelaine," I explained. She nodded and laughed.

"Now I know not to sneak up on you," Madelaine joked. I laughed and sat down on the bed that we slept in. She came and sat down next to me.

"Vanessa I heard what you were saying," Madelaine said. I looked at her confused.

"What do you mean," I asked.

"That you wouldn't have anyone left. Vanessa she isn't going to die. She is going to be okay," Madelaine said. I looked at her and took a deep breath. I put my head on her shoulder and laughed.

"Yeah I know," I said. Madelaine looked down at me.

"That's really good Vanessa," Madelaine lifted my chin and looked me in the eyes. I leaned in and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"Vanessa," I heard Celina whisper. I pulled away from Madelaine and stood up.

"Celina how are you feeling?" I asked. She nodded and smiled.

"Better," Celina answered.

"I'm going to go get the nurse," Madelaine said walking out of the room.

"She's a good person Vanessa," Celina said. I looked at her confused. "Madelaine. She's nice and she cares for you," Celina continued. I smiled and looked out the door.

"Yeah she is isn't she," I said. Celina grabbed my hand and I looked back at her.

"She's fragile though. She hurts beneath the surface. She doesn't show it but I can see it," Celina said. She always found a way to connect with people and understand them more than most could.

"I know but she's strong. She's been through a lot," I explained. Madelaine walked back into the room and the nurse followed behind her.

"Why don't you two ladies go get something to eat in the cafeteria," the nurse suggested. I looked at Celina and she nodded.

Madelaine grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door. "Come on babe," She said. I followed her out of the room. As soon as i shut the door I felt Madelaine wrap her arms around me. I wrapped my arms around her neck and she lifted me up. I wrapped my legs around her waist and put my head in her neck.

"Baby I know," Madelaine whispered. "I know it hurts. I know you hurt," She continued. I took a deep breath and sat back still in her arms.

"Madelaine," I whispered. She raised her eyebrows and nodded. I took my arms off of her neck and put them on her cheeks. I pulled her in for a kiss. It was soft and passionate. She pulled away and looked at me. I unwrapped my legs but she didn't let me go. I was still hanging in her arms. I looked up at her wondering why she hadn't let me go yet. She pressed her lips against mine again and this time it was different. It was hungry and she was searching for more.
