Tohru was surprised to say the least when Chika approached her after school and offered to walk her to work. Thinking that she had something else better to do, she told her that it wasn't necessary, but the noirette told her that people can never be too careful. She ended up accepting the offer.
As the two girls make their way through the downtown area under the sunset sky, Chika notices that Tohru is troubled.
Earlier in the day, Yuki had told her that Kyo snapped at her after trying to break up an argument not long after she had left. As the day went on, Chika put the events behind her and became less upset about the matter, but it seemed that the brunette was still unsettled by whatever he said to her.
"The place where I work is only a few blocks away. I'll be okay from here, Chika." Tohru speaks up, prompting Chika to snap out of her thoughts. "Thanks for walking with me."
Chika nods and tells her that she'll see her later, and Tohru says the same before continuing down the street. Thinking that she should say something about Kyo, the noirette calls out to her before she gets too far.
"Tohru?" Chika speaks up, and Tohru stops and looks back towards her. She asks her what's wrong, and she just says that she just needed to say something. "Kyo means well."
As Chika goes on to saying that Kyo says things without thinking thoroughly about it, Tohru furrows her brows, slightly skeptical, since it seemed like he meant what he said. Chika notices her expression.
"He's not used to being around people, especially those who are outside the family. I know it may be hard to believe, but that's how he is. So, don't take what he said too seriously." She concludes.
Thinking that she has said enough, she turns and walks back the way her and Tohru came from, leaving the brunette to think about what she said as she makes her way to work in the opposite direction.
Once Chika stops by the local grocery store to get some ingredients for dinner, she makes her way back to the house.
"I'm back." She says as she steps inside the house.
