Despite Shigure arriving back home in a nonchalant manner after the banquet, and not hear anything problematic from Hatori after her, Yuki and Kyo skipped the celebrations, Chika knows deep down that Akito would be planning something for them. However, she decided to push the matter aside for the time being and worry about it when the time comes.
After the New Years holidays ended, the first couple of weeks flew by for Chika as the school year continued. Soon, the end of January arrives, and she lets out a sigh as she walks out of the girls changing room, dreading the morning agenda, which is an endurance run, especially since the weather is still pretty chilly.
As the first years of Kaibara stand around the entrance of the school in their sports uniforms, her and Tohru make their way towards Yuki, whom yesterday evening had started getting cold symptoms. Despite insisting that he was fine to participate and compete with Kyo in a race, they still have their doubts and decided to try and talk him out of it.
"Sohma... maybe you should sit out of the run. I mean, you didn't eat much breakfast this morning." Tohru tries to reason with him, but again, Yuki assures them that he'll be fine.
"I'll get through this somehow." He says, before sighing. "Besides, if I don't compete, I'll never hear the end of it."
His words prompt the girls to look towards Kyo, and they sweatdrop as they can feel the firey aura that he is radiating.
"Still, it's better to be safe than sorry." Chika tells him.
Befor she can offer to talk to Kyo about dropping the plans, Yuki changes the subject.
"I don't think I've seen Uotani today." He says to Tohru.
"Uo's skipping today, but Hana should be here though." Tohru manages to tell him, before Kinoshita and Yamagishi dash over to her.
