After Tohru answers the door upon hearing the doorbell in the previous chapter, she finds nobody there at first. However, after hearing a salutation, she is met with a brunette girl standing shyly behind a tree, wearing a yellow dress.
"Hello? Can I help you?" She asks her.
"Umm... sorry. I know I'm not expected, but is it true? Is Kyo here?" The brunette girl asks, blushing slightly, before widening her eyes. "Oh, that's right. You don't know me. My name is Kagura Sohma."
"Oh, Kyo's just inside, facing a strong opponent. Chives." Tohru replies.
Meanwhile in the dining area, Yuki continues to forcibly stuff Kyo's mouth with the chive-filled riceball.
"Okay, you've made your point." Chika says as she crosses her arms.
"Yeah, Yuki... stop that." Shigure sighs in the dining area, as he sits down to read the morning newspaper. "If you keep doing that, he'll choke."
Almost instantaneously after she processes Tohru's words, Kagura's eyes start to tear up in happiness and relief at the thought of him finally returning. As Tohru watches her bolt inside the house, she can't help but admire the girl's personality.
"How cute... wait. What did she say?" Tohru thinks as she pushes the thought aside. "If she's a Sohma, that means she must be..."
However, she gets cut out of her thoughts when Kagura enters the dining area. Soon, Shigure, Chika, Kyo and Yuki shift their attention to their relative.
"Oh, hello there." Shigure greets her.
"K-Kagura?" Kyo says, not expecting to see her, and his voice prompts Kagura to turn her head.
As soon as she lays her eyes on Kyo, her eyes start tearing up even more.
"It's you..." She quietly gasps out. "You were gone... for three whole months...."
Soon, Tohru enters the room as Kagura expresses how concerned she was while he was away in the mountains. However, she goes completely shocked when the seemingly innocent and shy girl quickly turned violent and aggressive within a moment.
