I will use the language Javanese in this book for a few terms.

Also, I use the English GB spelling.

1. Imperial (ranking) - A werewolf that descends from a powerful bloodline. This doesn't necessarily mean the individual holds a rank such as an Alpha, Beta, Gamma etc. An Imperial can also be Identified as an Alpha or Beta that descends from a powerful bloodline who have extra abilities (most likely magical abilities). For example, a parent may be an Alpha and the other parent an Imperial that child is an Imperial Alpha.

Not all Alpha's are Imperials and not all Imperials are Alphas.

2.Noble (ranking) - Any supernatural who does not hold an important title such as Alpha, Beta, Gamma etc but is important in pack business this person is not included in affairs outside of the pack. They are lower than a Delta in the ranking.

3. The Alpha gene is inherited it can skip a child or both children can inherit the gene. If both children inherit the gene, one of the children can renounce their duty. Typically the older child is expected to be Alpha. The gene skipping a child is very rare.

Other individuals can become Alpha through a ceremony but their influence may not be as strong as someone else who inherited the gene.

4. Imprinting - A werewolf can imprint on any being whether human or supernatural, this is done to protect the being if they believe they are in danger. Imprinting can happen when a werewolf hasn't mated and feels the need to protect something. This does typically not happen on purpose. Or a werewolf may imprint to protect their chosen mate without committing fully to mating. An Imprint is much weaker than a mating bond.

5. Mating - this can happen between chosen mates or 'true mates'. This is a life long bond.

6. The likelihood of a supernatural meeting their 'true mates' is slim, they can choose someone who they have a strong bond with to mate with instead. This bond is not as strong as a true mate bond.

7. Head of the council, each supernatural species has its own 'Parliament' (or 'senate' for Americans). There is no overall President, Primeminister or monarchy but certain species have more power.

8. The heritage test - This is like a coming of age ceremony to invite the supernatural soul to find their another half. If the supernatural is not in touch with their abilities they can not complete the test or take part in the ceremony. Therefore they can not be marked or take part in a moon/ bonding ceremony.

9. A bonding ceremony is like marriage some packs will have many ceremonies at once or some will have individual ceremonies.

10. Supernatural Counterparts - Over the years supernaturals have developed the ability to separate their human side from their supernatural side. They can not have conversations with their inner selves but they can communicate with them. If their animalistic side is misbehaving, its because they are in distress. They can switch between their animalistic side but they can not personally have conversations with them, they can only feel them.

Mates may feel the need to directly talk to their mate's animalistic side but an individual cannot talk to parts of themself.

Despite counterparts being able to take over the human form they do not have their own voice it may be slightly deeper, but they do not completely have their own form.
