Chapter 7

They sit down again and King asks if Ram lives in the condominium near the Mall and Ram nods positively. Then he asks if he usually takes the bus or today it was an exception because of the rain. Ram doesn't answer and King remembers that last time, he said he was walking home.

King begins to ramble about the gym, the price of membership and that this is very expensive. So walking home is a much better and cheaper exercise. While he is rambling the bus brakes and in order not to fall he grabs Ram's shirt while Ram grabs his arm, also to prevent him from falling.

King immediately loosens Ram's shirt, afraid of what the other might think, but Ram just frowns and says nothing. King as a good body reader who, soon realizes that that frown and look on Ram's face was from someone who was trying to say "Why don't you hold yourself right, you fool."

King remembers the work that Ram was doing earlier and asks Ram to get the work sheets, that he will help him. King remembers that Ram seemed very focused on trying to do his homework, but that he couldn't seem to understand. King takes Ram's worksheets and is delighted with the handwriting.

King - "Your handwriting is absolutely incredible."

The bus makes a turn to dodge a passenger car and King almost falls, if it wasn't Ram who held his waist. Even after the bus started to move normally, Ram did not let go of King's waist.

King then thought to just let Ram hold onto his waist because he's too lazy to ask Ram to let go.

King just goes back to checking Ram's work, and is scared to see water dripping from his hair almost falling to the paper. He remembers that this teacher is very demanding. Any damages on paperwork, he won't accept it anymore. At that moment, Ram takes the hands that were still on King's waist and pulls his hair out of his face, to prevent the drips from falling on the work. King thinks that Ram was not very gentle when touching his hair, but that's okay. Ram's hand is still on King's forehead, holding his hair.

King - "Sorry, I almost got your work wet."

King - "Hey, they think we're a couple."

Ram - "..."

King turns his attention to Ram's work.

King - "This is wrong. You have to do it ... don't have pencils."

King left all his stuff in Bohn's car, and he starts looking at the floor of the bus to see if he finds a missing pencil.

Ram gives a pencil to King and the pencil says 'Vera'

King recalls that the name 'Vera' means 'truth and belief'. A very random thought.

King thanks him and begins to explain the work step by step to Ram. After explaining everything correctly, he asks if Ram understood and he nods positively. King checks the work again and returns the sheets to Ram.
